Race Deck- Twelve Years in a Pickup Bed

I've used Race Deck in my garage for years and have been very satisfied. I've also used it in pickup trucks to protect the bed floor. Today I pulled out the Race Deck to wash and snapped a couple of photos, which are attached. The section shown I've had in three different trucks over the last...

Tractor Supply 8" Pneumatic Casters Clearance

I found Tractor Supply Stores clearing out their eight inch, 310 pound capacity pneumatic swivel casters with locking brakes. Regular price is $59.99, on sale for only $12.99. A local store did not have them marked as clearance items but they scanned at the clearance price. The Item Number is...

    How about stable mats???

I agree with Shopmaster on how to cut these mats. Using one of the 3/4 inch thick TSC ones for a floor mat I also cut some of this material to use as noise and vibration insulation under each of the three support feet of my 80 gallon upright air compressor (it weighs approx. 550 pounds). It...

    Floor tiles and liquid

I installed a checkerboard pattern of black, aluminum and alloy colored RaceDeck in the garage and it sees dirt, sand, salt, slush and the like picked up regularly from roads during winter storms. I sweep it often and wash it with a mop when it gets dirty. With that type of maintenance it...

    Radiant floor heat options

My garage is larger and well-insulated, with six loops totaling approx. 1300 ft. on one zone. After much study, I decided to use a system from Radiant Floor Company (www.radiantcompany.com) that uses an Electro Industries boiler. It's a straightforward installation and has been trouble-free...

Pressure Test Fitting for Radiant Heat System

Many of the engineered industrial components and fluid systems I've worked on have specified test pressures as a percent of design pressure. They were tested at either 110 %, 135%, or 150% of design pressure. Maybe a reactor system or a safety-critical boiler system might specify a test...

Pressure Test Fitting for Radiant Heat System

Thanks to all for the information. Here's what I found at a local RV supply store to do the job.

Pressure Test Fitting for Radiant Heat System

Before filling my newly installed radiant heating system I want to pressure test the piping joints and six zones of pex as a unit. The most logical hookup location for a test fitting would be the fill or drain valve connections, which have standard "garden hose" threads. Is there an air test...

Best way to store Compound miter saw?

I tuck mine on the floor between my table and radial arm saws, which are adjacent to each other. With both on wheels, it's just a quick move of either one to provide quick access, and from there I can use the miter saw either on its own stand (I have a Craftsman fold-up model) or on a workbench.

Bend-Pak Lift Blue Touch Up Paint

I recall a thread not long ago in which someone asked about touch up paint for a Bend Pak lift. I have found that Krylon's "True Blue," available in spray cans at many hardware stores, is the same color as my lift.

Solutions for Water Leak Between Sill and Slab?

Kevin54: There is a 4' tall vertical concrete frost/retaining wall at the rear gable end, so the rear wall of the garage sits on this elevated sill (this is not the same sill at slab level that leaks). The slab extends on the sides, and there is a 4' apron at the front gable end (extends in...

Solutions for Water Leak Between Sill and Slab?

Since there are multiple entry points for the leaks, I'm going to experiment with a few different solutions. First up will be a rubber gasket, sealed with some caulk, and compressed under a piece of 1" pressure treated wood screwed to the sill. I may also try to fit some roll rubber roofing...
