Didn't get any replies so I'll show my solution. I pulled the piston back out (it seems very tight but maybe the new seals will soften up) and threaded the spring adjusting screw (part 3) only two threads in. Now the spring eye is over the hole for the spring retaining screw to go in. Then...

Picked up and it runs smoothly. Unscrewed and looks like a sleeve for a MT3 or 4 drill. What does the mount look like for a Jacob’s chuck? Is it the same as the outside of the sleeve with a JT on the end? This thing is heavy. Thanks!

Have the below for over two years now. It's tolerable, but doesn't hold the bits in anymore. Bigger issue is I've broken two of the 5/16" flat bits. Does anyone make decent quality sets of just 5/16 flat bits? Thanks, Rich
