i would go t-8s. My buddy has t-5s and they are so bright it almost gives me a headache. Im glad i with t-8s i have a 30 x 40 with 12 ft walls,vaulted cieling and went 4- 32' rows. PLENTY BRIGHT.

i ran the rapid air in my shop, they sell kits that come with aluminum manifolds with water bleeders on the bottom and an outlet. Its kind of like pex, really easy to install. I think regular pex is not rated for oil contaminants as i recall but not for sure about that.

We have to use Stainless Steel everything here on the coast. Hot Dipped galvanized works in some cases. Those posts should of had HDG CB66's with the plate being just above finish surface. Are you replacing the posts completely?
