I've broken several of the Craftsman bars, both 3/8 and 1/2. The HF bars flex too much, especially if your trying to yank a bolt loose. Buy a good SO or Matco bar, you will feel the difference the first time you use it.
Just spend the little extra money and get SO. For something you use as much as a ratchet, $100 really isnt that much. Matco's 88tooth ratchets are nice too.
I recently bought the 10mm and 12mm 1/4 imact swivels from matco to try out. I like them just as much as the snap on's so far, but who knows how they will hold up over time. @$40 per socket they are still expensive but at least its an option for those who dont want Snap On
yes they are lifetime warranty. ive warrantied slides on boxes i've bought second hand before. I usually go through my SO driver but you can also just call and they will send you out however many you request.
I've got the MAC made in taiwan t8-t60 set and have been pretty happy with the quality. I normally buy Snap On but I couldn't justify the $300+ price tag of them since acura/honda doesn't use a whole lot of torx. They set I have lists for 119 but my mac driver regularly sells then for 85. A lot...
I have a set of new unopened SO 3/8 SAE impact swivels for sale. Part number 205IPF.
This set is still in the packaging. It cost $176 off the truck, it can be yours for $140 with free shipping.
I am also open to all trades. Mainly interested in other SO tools. Of particular interest would be...
Got a few new goodies today and yesterday. Got a ratcheting SO screwdriver , SO 3/8 wobble extension, and long SO 14mm/17mm box wrench. Also got mac branded Knipex diag cutters and angled needle nose pliers. Lastly I got a MT2814 off the matco truck.
Id got for the MG725 - I use one professionally on a daily basis. I also use my coworkers IR 2135 quite a bit too and like it as well, but i just prefer the feel of my 725.
