For those with pin stripes and lines in their garage walls

Mr. Bean, still alive and kicking!? Finished (is it?) looks awesome. Mr. H. Banana; very nice with the white black under the red. I had some bleeding too, but was just careful and reminded myself it is a garage after all! Btw, last time I was in Home Depot, saw a new product called Frog Tape...

    My Wolverine Floor

Re: My Wolverine Epoxy floor Nightmare Ha, oh when i saw those photos, I thought this was going to be a comedy zinger post, starting with: "I'm just a poor boy from SC with 4 Porsches....."

    Wolverine verses epoxy coat

Yeah, I think so, since I really did not notice anything on the rest of the floor, until I lifted those mats up. There is also a lot of yellow tree pollen here, so I get more yellowing from that until I mop it out! :)

    My Wolverine Floor

Re: My Wolverine Epoxy floor Nightmare Tough one to take, since Wolverine is the gold standard that you pay extra for to get the best. Hopefully satisfaction is still in the future.

    Wolverine verses epoxy coat

Whats up Gents? I did not think my floor had yellowed/ambered, until I lifted up 2 mats in front of the house steps. Definitely bluer shade of gray underneath.

Anyone on here into cigars scotch and other libations?

Ok anyone who has Lagavulin on their list is a SERIOUS Scotch drinker! I like Glenlivet and have a bottle of Dewar's Alberfeldy I got at the source in Scotland. Saving that for when the bar is complete. Cigars I like mild such as La Gloria Cubana.

    Nice truck. Half ton?

Putting down Epoxy on half of garage, then doing other half later?

I did that and scuffed the transition area a little. I did not use tape, but maybe should have. I can see my transition and it is thicker. Not super ugly, but not professional pretty either.

I already have two nice gouges. One from flipping up a new Gladiator cabinet after I put the casters on. It sort of slid and dug in on the cabinet edge before I got it up on the wheels. The other gouge was from dropping a big 4wd spindle socket. In both cases they went through the clear and base...

Asking for opinions about prepping this floor

just watched the old HBO series; "From the Earth to the Moon" Lots of similarities there!

Just like a shiny new car or paint job on your project car. All that fussing in the beginning, then you slowly just live with it!

    Epoxy-coat mixing ratio

The full kit comes as 2 gallons of color and 1 gallon of hardener, so there ya go; 2:1 ratio for the clear is 2:1 also.

    Garage floor re-do.

I just sanded man with a little orbital sander and some 80 grit. Just a light job to dull up any shiny surfaces. That was for my clear that went on dried color. It was only half the garage and 440 square feet. The other half i got the clear on before the color drying time window had expired.

    epoxy-coat without a top coat

Yeah, I hear ya. The info we were getting here was that the urethane would be harder than the epoxy, so this has to be frustrating. The other thing that makes it hard, is that when you first put your clear down of any type, it just looks so perfect and amazing. You just want to preserve that...

    epoxy-coat without a top coat

Beancounter put down the same stuff, wonder if he has any issues? After a 3 hour drive on a hot day and the last part being twisty, I parked the Mustang on top of the clear epoxy. Next day, when I backed it up, I saw a fine "etching" of the tread pattern and it will not wipe up. As time goes on...
