This shed is not for great weight bearing. Just storing tools, generators, power washer and saws and some space for a small bench and work area. I'm using 2x8-10 footers and 2x8-16 footers for the perimeter with 2x6-10 footers at 16" on center for the joists. Putting perimeter up on deck blocks...

It took me 30 years of generator ownership to get it through my head to run out old gas after two years of non-use and otherwise top off the tank with treated gas every fall. I have always loathed small engines cause they NEVER start until I learned to just care for the gas. I can start mine...

More and more lately I let the generator do the heavy work.

My understanding is that the reason to add a load is to keep the generator magnetized. If thats stupid then edjeekate me. Why do we run periodically with a load? And whats the purpose of changing the load with different wattages?

Got a storm coming. I want to run my generac portable 3000w generator to make sure it working dine, to run out some old gas and get some new treated gas through the system. Do I need to put a load on it for about a 30 minute run?

Just had some tires switched between rims on two different trucks. Now when its time to put them back on the truck I find that I can not lift them any more. Heres what I did. Line put the wheel next to the hub and line up the holes best as you can. Make sure the truck is up about 2 inches higher...

I was removing the fill plug on my floor jack when it went "plefff" out across the front yard. Needless to say its gone. There was pressure behind it (does no good to know that now) but how much. Will any plug work? I found some black rubber "corks" at the hardware that may work. Heres a post...
