Just as a follow-up: The compressor is an Emglo. Its pretty quiet for a reasonably priced compressor and seems to be built pretty well. I would tend to believe the 74db rating as I can run the compressor and not worry what my neighbor thinks. As it recharging the tank above 150psi or so it...

I just picked this up from Home Depot for $314 + tax. Ill unbox it tomorrow and let you know how it works. I am extremely used to crappy compressors, so I will let you know how it rates.
