    Bend-Pak Overhead Safety-Switch warning!!

I have a Bend-Pak XPR-10 2 post lift that I bought and installed last October. No problems with it so far, but today I was doing a Periodic Inspection and found a serious electrical safety issue with my lift, and after calling Bend-Pak they are aware of it and said "it is in QC for review"...

stacking Whalen (Costco) 2,000lb industrail shelving units?

Has anyone thought about stacking 2 of the Whalen (Costco) shelving units? It would sure help me take advantage of 'wasted' vertical space in my shop. Thinking about different ideas on how to attach the legs of the two units together....maybe 4' sections of unistrut bolted inside each leg...

    Transporting crated lift?

Rent, beg or borrow a trailer. If not you will have to block up the lift so it does not rest on your tailgate. Even though one end of the lift is heavier, it it only heavier by the weight of the pump and box of hardware, no more than 100lbs. My XPR-10 bill of lading showed a shipping...

BendPak XPR-10, issue with safety latch

I have been setting the cable with the power side and off-side safety latch in their at-rest positions (would be fully engaged) with the carriage at the bottom of the lift, and then pulling the cable as taught as possible. Hummmm......maybe I should be adjusting the safety latches with the...

BendPak XPR-10, issue with safety latch

Just get my XPR-10 lift assembled and working. Everything is working correctly with exception of the the 'off-side' safety latch. I cannot get the safety latch to move enough to allow the carriage to go down. In its relaxed position it appears that the safety latch goes to far into the...

    2 post BendPak install hints/tips?

ScD, Another question.... when did you put the cross-bar in place - before or after you secured the 2nd column to the floor? It seems that doing it this way would be prudent just in case something is off - the floor, column placement, a slightly out-of-tolerance part, etc. Thanks.

    2 post BendPak install hints/tips?

ScD, With regards to your lift arms being out of alignment....since your columns were plumb, did you check to make sure the distance between the columns was the same the entire length of the columns (not sure how that would be if both columns were plumb)? Was something else amiss with the...

    2 post BendPak install hints/tips?

After seeing the supposed 'experts' put together my co-workers 4 post lift, there is no way I would pay someone to put up this lift, unless I was physically unable to do so. It is not that hard or complex. I was just looking for pointers if there was a trick to keeping the ends of the cables...

    2 post BendPak install hints/tips?

Getting ready to install my BendPak XPR-10 2 post lift and just wondering if anyone can share any hints/tips on their install. The one thing I am curious about is BendPak has you run the lift cables and hydraulic lines prior to standing up the posts. I have them run, but how in the heck are...

    Mystic195 Feedback Thread

Just received my XPR-10 that I bought from M&J. They had the best pricing and great customer service, they quickly replied to emails and phone calls. Since I was not in a hurry for delivery I asked Jessica if BendPak would do a 'flat-bed' delivery - i.e. a direct-ship (sort-of) and not using...

    affordable, stain resistant floor coating

Hey Legacy, Wouldn't your HD40 product http://www.legacyindustrial.net/products/densifiers/hd40-concrete-stainguard.html be a candidate for this? It's $98/gallon or $359/5 gallons and a gallon covers 500sq ft. I need to do something with my year-old shop floor to protect it from...

    Drilling in concrete or blocks/bricks

I use a BOSCH hammer drill and DeWalt Rock Carbide SDS Plus bits. I had to drill 150+ 5/8" diameter holes 10" deep into concrete footers when I built my SteelMaster building. The concrete was 45 days old and it was like putting a hot knife thru butter. I bought a handful of bits thinking I...

    Bendpak HD9 Pump Leaking Fluid

From one of you pics it appears to be leaking from one on the brass plugs? I have a BendPak on the way and have heard of the lift cylinders leaking, which BendPak took care of, so hopefully your problem will be resolved. Let us know what was leaking and how it was resolved.

    Width between 2-post lift colums

I have a BendPak XPR-10 (a symmetric lift) lift on it's way to me - can't wait...no more working on my back on cold concrete! Anyway, with this lift you can configure it in 2 different widths when assembling it - a narrow configuration which has 105.5" between the columns and a WIDE...
