Harbor Freight 10" sliding compound miter saw.

I actually picked up the 12" version a couple of months ago. Needed it for mitering 8" baseboards around the house and didn't want to spend a fortune on an occasional tool. Bought a two pack of Dewalt blades from HD or Lowes (forget which), one 80 tooth for trim and one for general ripping...

    HF 12" compound miter saw?

I have a need for a larger miter saw for about 2 dozen cuts on some 8" baseboard trim, really don't want to spend a small fortune and just noticed this guy is on sale at HF. Does anyone own one and have a review ...

How do I keep company from thinking my garage is a garage sale?

Guess I have it easy, my in-laws wouldn't have a clue what to do with 95% of the stuff in the garage. They look and their eyes glaze over, they are all very smart in their own ways, but tools are what other people use. The only two guys with any interest are good friends, one a mechanic who...

I just screwed mine direct and clipped the lights in, only change I made was the supplied screws were horrible so I swapped for some decent screws I had on hand.

    Upstate updating

Couple of quick night time shots, in reality there are only 9 of 15 lights putting out light as 2 rows are over the open garage door. Garage progress is currently waiting for the holiday season and some house re-modelling to be done. Also need to diagnose a problem with the wife's Caliber...

How many 4' LED fixtures for workshop/shed

Ran out and grabbed a couple of night pictures of the ebay lights, 15 in a 20 x 24 garage. In reality it is just 9 as the garage door is open and blocking 2 rows. I'm still extremely happy with them.

If they are anything like me they will have a card in their wallet detailing their implanted device. I also wear dog tags detailing emergency cardio contacts, device type and restrictions and other relevant information.

Tig welding with a pace maker/ defib

I'm a welder by trade and had a defib fitted about 4 years ago. I was extremely concerned about having it fitted and the chance that I would no longer be able to work. I spent a lot of time talking to both my cardiologist and the rep from the company that manufactured the device. While no one...

    Upstate updating

Got the 240 volt lines in yesterday, one NEMA 6-30r for the heater and one NEMA 6-50r for the welder. That is the front part of the garage pretty much rewired. I still need to clean up the rear portion and re-connect the exterior outlets on a new circuit, that will end up being a spring project...
