    Tools from the old world

Yeah, Barber is like Disneyland for gearheads. Good eye on the Facom, not sure if that is what it is, I looked at the pic again but can't tell. I was too excited about seeing the Norton K Schwantz was riding and then seeing the Assistent. Sensory overload!

    The Little Garage That Could

SMsteve, is that Angeles Crest? I lived near Barstow for two years (08-09) and went on the Crest right after it reopened. Lots of great riding in SoCal!!

    Jack Olsen's Quaint Masterpiece...

A few months ago I read Mjozefow's thread on his budget garage build. In the thread was this little nugget from Jack: "At 20, I'm pretty sure I spent my days picking my nose and throwing rocks at the neighbor's fence. Or something like that. " And that kind if writing is why, at least in my...

Jack, Great garage, I've been following the thread for a while. Your resourcefulness is an inspiration. I am also a fan of anyone else who has "long term vehicular relationships" like you with your 911 and Jeep. Could you please share the significance of the vanity plate on your BMW?

    The GQ Garage

Thanks for all the input! I'll try to answer all the questions: Can't paint the walls, I would like to but... I've thought about hoisting the yacht but the overhead clearance is kinda lacking, may try it yet. Yes I can ride on post but the asphalt is in horrible shape and yes there is some...

    The GQ Garage

Not that GQ, but government quarters. I used to have a real garage, not as well equipped as most on here but comfortable and big enough to hold a "tech day" for some fellow BMW riders back in 2004: But, where I lived was flat and all the roads were straight, and I needed to move somewhere I...

    Tools from the old world

BMW used to include fairly complete, quality tool kits with their bikes. The newer bikes have very few or no tools at all. With my 1994 RS a decent tool kit was included: All of the tools are made by Heyco, there is even a feeler guage for measuring the ABS sensor gap. I have always...

    Post your garage!

Well, it's not much, it's not even a garage! But at least the bike is out of the elements.
