    Garage Door Troubleshooting

As a preface I tried Googling and looking through threads but I can't seem to find the answer I'm looking for. My garage door keeps popping back up after it bottoms out when I try to close it. Everything I read says to adjust the door's limit switch but for some reason any adjustment seems to...

    Forge cantilever tool boxes?

Hey everyone, Has anyone on this forum ever bought or had experience with the cantilever tool box by Forge? I tried googling them but cannot find any reviews or comments on them. I like the handle hinge design on the Forge boxes since it looks like they can swivel and are not fixed like the...

    Tool prep for wall display

I live in New England so it's pretty moderate and humidity should not be too much of an issue I believe. LXCam do you do any extra prepping work or do you just spray the clear coat on?

    Tool prep for wall display

Hey everyone, I was wondering what could I use to permanently keep old wrenches from rusting. I'm in the process of derusting old wrenches in vinegar so I can clean them up and mount them in a shadow box of some sort on the wall as art. I've read the threads about using paste wax but I assume...

    Vinegar and wood

I was just afraid that the vinegar would corrode the wood and have the handle snap while I'm swinging away. Thanks for the help!

    Vinegar and wood

Can someone tell me the effects of vinegar on wood? I read up on a bunch of the rust removal threads and want to derust my hammers but I don't want to pull out the wooden handles. I want to just submerge the metal part of the hammer but that would mean the vinegar would still come in contact...

    Tool box bracket removal

Thanks for the advice. That sounds right for the bottom brackets but I don't think it would work for the wall brackets because my drill would be too large to fit.

Grinder it is then. I didn't even realize that the brackets on the floor were for partitions haha Can't wait for my tools to come in so I can see them in the box. :rocker:

    Tool box bracket removal

I'm glad to hear that! Yea I'm planning to use the box in the second picture but I want to take out those brackets first. I'm also thinking maybe trying to restore the first box since its really rusty and just to get some first hand experience with bodywork.

    Tool box bracket removal

Well I just picked up 2 Craftsman 30 inch carpenters tool boxes from a yard sale for 20 bucks. If its a good deal or not I have no clue:headscrat Is there a way to remove the brackets that are on the interior walls and floor? I don't see any bolts or screws so I'm guessing that its spot welded in?
