There are woodworking clubs in some areas - I believe they are set up as a business, selling memberships for access. Not quite a co-op, but I think achieves the same or similar goal

I think that the OP's garage is situated perfectly - he now has a much more private back yard without the neighbors front window looking into it... nice job on a great looking garage!
OSB can look great - as with a lot of woodwork, it's all in the preparation and finishing.
Here's a link to an interesting application in a modern kitchen - I think it would work great in your garage - you should try it out - worst case is you slap some drywall over it ;^)
Squirrels are the biggest culprits around here for shorting those pole fuses - quite the sound when they pop - poor squirrels never get a chance to make that mistake twice.
