Special Paint for Iron Fence ?

    ^^^^^ Yes, what @readhead and @4xdog said.

Insulation, air sealing and existing walls

One possibility for the attic is spray foam, and I think closed cell is a vapor barrier? Probably the most expensive solution though. You may be able to have a thin layer of foam sprayed to seal the ceiling and act as the vapor barrier, then use some other insulation to meet the r-value you...

    Ammo box projects?????

I purchased ours for smaller emergency supplies (hurricanes mostly in our area) that we want to keep readily accessible such as first aid, batteries, flashlight, emergency radio, medications, etc. The larger items like camp stove, blankets etc. are in medium totes, so the cans help us find...

Looking for Feedback on Bosch BOVA HP

Any Bosch BOVA owners here, especially in the Mid-Atlantic region? I'd like your thoughts about comfort in all seasons. I'd also like any real-world money savings you have seen. I'm in the Virginia Beach, VA area for reference. The BOVA seems to switch to cooling mode to defrost the OD...

Need to move shed to put fence in

^^^^This. Pics of the shed will help. What type of foundation is the shed on? The guy who bought my old 8x8 shed brought a friend and some PVC. Moved the shed over 40 feet to the road and winched it onto his trailer.

2 post lift hydraulic oil change frequency

Looked at a few Bendpak manuals and they don't specify a specific interval, just "replace when dirty". My Quickjack manual doesn't specify a change interval for the fluid either. I'm replacing my fluid at the two year mark, only because I just purchased them used and want to have a baseline...

Finally did it... Got a US General 44" Roller, but...

Nice buy @BearsFan315 , especially with the coupon. Any reason why you are looking at the 26" Top Chest vs the 44" Top Chest?

Got a new little tool cart!

That's a cool setup. Space for tools inside, and a parts tray on top. Very nice find.

    2 post lift problems

What reason did the seller give for not using the lift anymore? The check valve you replaced, was it the Pilot Operated Check Valve or the Flow Control Valve? Was it a Wheeltronic part? Did you bleed the hydraulics after replacing the valve?

    Quickjack Maintenance

Thanks for another data point @PCMusicGuy . I purchased mine used last weekend and even though the QJ is just under two years old, decided to do all the maintenance to have a baseline. I was surprised to see the manual has greasing the frames as a monthly maintenance item. I suppose...

New garage- to me that is

Might want to have the Mods move this to the Lighting & Electrical forum for more visibility by the electrical experts. In the first pic, what is that bundle at the end of the light, directly above the drivers door of your wagon - spare Romex? I agree with your assessment of "less than...

Starting the garage plan, what should I include?

^^^What they said! Network/internet access to the shop; helpful for looking up parts, repair videos, etc. Also a dedicated space for computer/tablet/TV and any resource material such as service manuals or files.

    Quickjack Maintenance

Thanks for the reply @mishkaya . Do you oil through the hole in the frames, or directly in the joints? I tried the Superlube grease last year on a ratchet and it works great.

    Quickjack Maintenance

A couple questions for any Quickjack owners. 1- What type of grease gun fitting do you use for the pivot joints on the frames? 2- How much grease do you use for both frames? The manual suggests Lube-Link products, but which size or style works best? I'm considering a mini-style grease gun...
