    Teach me on my welds

best results i've had welding exhaust tubing is welding 1-2" stitch at a time, if you try to weld the whole thing in one shot (and your machine isn't setup right) you'll start popping holes. i'd tack it up, weld a stitch, flip it over, weld a stitch, etc. once you get the hang of it your...

    12' Wide swing gate

you can get 12' wood, but you'll need 2x8x12 to cover that span and with bracing i doubt it will be; cheaper, faster, stronger. and it will definitely be heavier than steel. edit: and now we need the whole story and probably some pics! :)

    12' Wide swing gate

    Car trailer reinforcement

after seeing the pics, i would be inclined to use 2x4 or 3x5 .120 tube to build a rectangular perimeter frame with a central backbone & a couple x-members, sleeve holes in it for your leaf spring & shackle hangers, then use all the cutoff channel for bracing within the new frame. .188 is heavy...

    Wall cabinets, wood screws enough?

3" deck screws. the 52" cabinet you should be able to hit 3 studs, 6 screws. aint going nowhere. put up a ledger board first to set your cabinet height, place cabinet on ledger & screw away.
