im asking because i dont know. Why 6x6 and not 4x6 for the support posts ?
my basis for that is the deck currently on the house is 4x6 posts.
I think im going to dig a couple holes to get a better idea of whats going on next to the wall and with the existing support post footings. Will report...
I have a bunch of other work to do. The deck is 400sqft and im doing more than the stairs. I also have to replace the sliders that are on the deck. We got nailed for doing a water heater without a permit after the town jacked the street water pressure and caused the blow off valve on the WH to...
Hi Guys,
I need to replace the stairs on my deck as the stringers are rotted/splitting where the screws were driven in to hold the treads. The stairs are also on the inside middle of my deck, not along the permimeter and it really divides the deck. It also doesnt allow us to open the window...
In process of building a 12x16 shed. Building out of mostly rough cut hemlock and pine boards.
I ended up using 1x12 rough cut for the flooring/planks. 2x6 pressure treated floor joists. I put a 4mil plastic sheet as a vapor barrier under the flooring since the rough cut wasnt perfect and there...
You can usually find stainless tables with sinks on one side and top area that can drain into the sink on Craigslist for -$200. Used resraunt equipment. Might be worth looking at.
I use protolabs and Xometry at work also.
They are "fast" but not that fast. Usually 3 days turn around AFTER they accept/acknowledge your PO, which can be a additional day or two. They are expensive, at least for the 3d printing but you pay that for not having to deal with the hassle of...
OCD got the best of me. Reprinted the 3 spot switch.
I dint have multi color printer. Only single extruder. I tell it to pause at certain layer height and swap the filament. Not ideal but it works.
Also ironing didn't make difference in top layer finish.
New project for the garage..... Label light switches. Not crazy on the top layer surface finish but it serves its purpose. Have a few more to do and have a few things to tweak for the top layer.
I have the microswiss direct drive units on both of mine so no bowden tube for me. It is kind of expensive but came wuh the all metal hot end and metal extruder.
