    High velocity a/c?

Thanks all. I looked at the Mitsubishi mini-splits and they have a recessed ceiling unit that would be great. I never considered this option and it appears to me to be the best option.

    High velocity a/c?

Just bought a house with heat only. Two floors, about 2500 sq ft, 4 bedrooms. House brick on bottom an stucco on top, built in 1941. Wife is worried that it may get too hot but we are a mile from the ocean (Santa Monica). Just found out we can’t use the same ducts the heating system uses. What...

Tool for enlarging deadbolt hole in door

My house came with a custom solid wood extra thick 2 1/4 inch door which locks via a deadbolt. The deadbolt hole setback is the standard 2 3/8 inch but the round hole in the door is about 1 3/8 inches. I want to get a new electronic smart Baldwin deadbolt but it requires a 2 3/8 inch hole...

Acrylic question: trying to make stand for camera collection

I have about 50 cameras I want to display on the shelf. Looking on the web, I can get 1/2 inch thick clear arcrylic pieces cut to spec quite cheaply. I was thinking of a generic 8x10 inch base on the bottom, having a clear+ hollow PVC tube (about 1 inch in diameter and up to 6 inches long)...

    paint sprayer

Thank you all. I will give up my desire to buy another tool. The 18" roller is a great idea. I'll start taping up the bedroom. My daughter picked hot pink for the bathroom and bright green for her bedroom. Will paint it over with a neutral white with a hint of silver. I assume no matter...

    paint sprayer

My wife wants a large bedroom painted. I'd like to buy a paint sprayer to apply primer and several coats of paint as the present one is loud and bright. Are there any sprayers that would be better?

    Basic truck jack question.

Thanks all, I'll definitely consider the HF Daytona and look at the US Jacks

    Basic truck jack question.

I'm looking to get an appropriate floor jack for my new 2016 3 ton Suburban. Since one side is lifted at a time, should the capacity of the jack be 1 1/2 tons or does the jack capacity have to include the total weight of the vehicle? While I'm here, any specific USA made stands I should...

    Spotless Rinse... That actually works...

Which water treatment system do you use and does it demineralize the water to make toweling off optional? I just polished with Wolfgang's Uber and Swirl remover and topped up with their Deep gloss paint sealant.

Which pin type jack stand for SUV/truck?

Thanks Steve. Do the saddle tops give a false sense of security regarding slippage? Also, if the rating is 3 tons/pair, does that mean 6 tons for 2 pairs? I guess the Suburban would be the heaviest at 3 tons so would be well inside of the limits.

Which pin type jack stand for SUV/truck?

I've read that the pin type is more secure and there have been failures in the ratchet type jack stands. Vehicles that I plan to use it on include Suburban, Land Rover Defender and Range Rover. I've narrowed it down to likely these 3 models mostly due to brand reliability but please make other...

    mystorageequipment.com any good?

I'm also interested as their prices seem to be the lowest on the web.

    Best Floor Jack?

Are the Milwaukee and H-W easily self-serviceable with readily available parts to someone who doesn't work on cars but has good dexterity? I'd want to keep it forever and not consider it disposable like the cheaper imported ones.

    Best Floor Jack?

Reviving an old thread. I did buy an inexpensive thread on Amazon but am thinking I need a higher quality one. Intended use is only in my garage, mostly on a low sports car but I also have a LR Defender (not lifted but high) that I would like to put on stands. I am going to use Jackpoint...
