They did I have a boxed 3/8 and 1/2 socket set I got from Al's Auto supply when I worked there in 90 or 91 they had TAT Taiwan on the sockets and ratchets and they were Thorsen Allied tools.
Montgomery Wards also had a lifetime battery for a short time. And I don't think that Costco warranty is right or where that guy in the article came up with that I buy alot of batteries from Costco and just had one pro rated on under warranty it's not a month by month thing it drops percentage...

There are coupons out for 699.99 for the 56 inch box. Find one in a magazine on the newsstand take it back to the store with your reciept and ask for them to price match it. Save a hundred bucks and never pay full price for anything at harbor freight if you can. At least the big things do some...
You can use the 20% coupon on sale prices but you can't use two coupons. And the haven't allowed 20% off coupons to be used on tool boxes for over a year. :(

Yep any Craftsman hand tool has a Lifetime warranty. When you take it in they don't know if you bought it in a "kit" or not. Problem with the Kmart or Ace thing is they usally have a limited selection of tools. Not a lot of individual tools.:(
Actually they dont make home balancers that do a very good job balancing. A cheap bubble balancer doing a static balance is not the same as one giving a dynamic spin balance. Maybe 40 years ago balancing a bias ply tire that wont see over 70mph. I have a hand tire machine and bubble balancer but...
