Making slow progress in the Nova

20260718_172845.jpg

We are hosting a large gathering next week(ugh) so it's gotta go back to storage shortly so I can get the garage cleaned up for overflow seating in case it's warm

Will have to find some homes for a bunch of little stuff on this years Epstein day event

And caught this and had to grab a pic and share the fuel company with a sense of humor

I got the dental pick and tweezers as well as too many other things!

Skipped the 250th pliers...didn't have room in the drawer and I spent an absurd amount of money on pliers last year

And because we all need some **** talking...you better get your *** in gear on that Nova! Prime Fall driving season is coming up ;)

Definitely not wrong on needing to get moving! The list is getting smaller....it's back to driveable now which is a big plus....well once it's off the jackstands and fluids are topped off! I've been told it should go back to storage tomorrow....not sure I'm going to get that one done....will depend on how much help with kids I get

Nova is back in storage...for a couple days

Power washer got broken out

Put the still new in box from a year or so ago(oops) surface cleaner on and gave the stall a wash

It does do a nice job of medium cleaning with minimal mess and over spray. It's a 15" cleaning head with a rating of 3.8 from on a pump at 3.5 gpm and it feels a bit underpowered but the slab is much cleaner so it was apparently powerful enough.

Props to all y'all who host events all the time....shits a lot of work lol. When you do it more often it gets easier...but glad this event is on a 7 yr rotation so won't be our turn for awhile after Sunday...maybe I take Monday off work.

Now to finish putting away tools and moving more stuff around in the garage to make more space

Too hot, too much left over food and beer....wait only 1 of those 3 things is actually bad lol. Gathering went well, everyone seems to have had a good time...garage having AC was a big help as it provided sufficient space everyone could stay inside if they wanted and get away from the heat index of 114 or so we had. All the 3d printed fidgets and toys were enjoyed and disappeared so that was great and the laser got fired up for some coasters

Now to figure out some better locations for some of the tables and chairs so they're out of my garage and then back to more regularly scheduled programming here.

Did wake up to an unexpected message on the thermostat about how it was calling for cool but temp was going up....uh oh with today's forecast being similar to yesterday and 100+ actual and heat index of 110+. Compressor fan was spinning normally so not capacitor(which is guaranteed to not fail as I have a spare!), filter was good so kicked it off and let it sit for 10 minutes then fired it back up and a couple minutes later had this temp reading in the duct above the A-coil

So....not sure what happened but it apparently needed a reboot. Seems to be cooling things off correctly again so hopefully this was just a fluke. AC is about 10 years old but a 4 ton unit so should have plenty of life left but when it goes it won't be cheap to replace.
