    Hydronic in slab questions

I like the idea of the backup pump, cheap insurance. The head is figured differently than other pumps because the drop and the head should nearly cancel each other out. I have heard it described as a Ferris wheel (up on one side down on the other). I mounted to the 2" XPS with purpose made...

I can't believe I just did that... ordered from Harbor Freight

I bought one of these (cheaper than driving to the shop). Not the worst tool purchase I have made. It seems to me that HF followed the Fein model (overcharge for the tool, WAAAAAY overcharge for the tooling), remember these tools are grinders without a gear. Both have abysmal tool life for...

    Cordless Drill Recomendation

I just bought the 3 aH version of the Makitas pictured above. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001DNNT9W/?tag=atomicindus08-20 I have owned or used most brands. I have never saw so many stripped out gears as Dewalt, personally stripped one out. Batteries have been the downfall of many...

    Cordless Drill Recomendation

Mini rant: I hate Ridgid power tools (plumbing tools are great). Have a ridgid 4 tool combo 3 of 4 switches made the tools useless. Designed by vacuum salesmen.

    Milwaukee is now making.... pliers?

Design is good, it is why I picked them up. The hacksaws blade lock doesn't hold well, The multi-driver is just disapointing, not BAD.

    Milwaukee is now making.... pliers?

I recently bought some Milwaukee hand tools including multi-screwdriver, hand saw, and compact hacksaw. All of which was double the price I thought it should have been, but twice as disappointing! All of the pliers probably share those traits.

    Milwaukee is now making.... pliers?

Why is no one talking about what a high volume manufacturer like Milwaukee has to make in profit? They moved operations to China, didn't change the price, even though a drop in quality is always accompanied with that move.

    Best cordless screw driver?

IMO impactors stop cam out. I don't ware tips out (I use about 3 Philips bits per year, fewer square and use 10,000s of fasteners per year).

    Best cordless screw driver?

+1 on the Bosch 12v impactor! I have used mine professionally and DIY EVERY day for 2.5 years, built decks, garage, everything else it finally fried and was serviced under a week. I also have a Ridgid x2 set including an impacter (bad switch on Drill and impact) wouldn't recommend and Makita...

125 amp main panel... Now what?

I talked to the local electric utility and had a new 200 amp service (separate from the house), other than the pedestal $125, and service panel $100, and grounding rod/wire $35 expenses, I got a totally separate service that doesn't dim my lights, or starves for amps, or worst create a problem...

8 foot walls vs 9 ft

    I have 9', I could use 10', but 9 is ok. I don't have a lift, but 9' does allow 8' overhead door installation, I Highly suggest 8' door(s).
