    Myford 7 Lathe

Myford 7 lathe. It's been sitting for a long time, but doesn't appear to have much use and wear. It needs to be gone through and thoroughly cleaned up. I don't have the time and want the space. Parts for these are still available from Myford, and can be found on Ebay relatively easily...

    Lathe cross-slide Identification help

Got this as a spare part with a Myford 7 lathe I picked up several years ago. It's definitely not for the Myford 7; Can anybody help me ID it? I'd like to make it go away, but "For Sale: Random lathe cross-slide" probably won't do well!

    Saturday's auction scores

Picked up a couple things I probably don't need, buuuuuuttttt.... First is a red bench on wheels... it's a cart. 4ft x 29 inches, with a 1/2-inch lip around the whole perimeter. I'll probably add a shelf on the bottom, and a rubber mat to the top, and it'll be a perfect mobile work cart in my...

    Mohawk air tools? How good?

I just picked up a Mohawk 1/2-inch impact--it's in like-new condition, and I got it for free. Is this worth keeping around as a back-up, or should I unload it at the next swap meet? (for instance, I wouldn't take up valuable drawer space with a free, redundant HF impact gun). Thanks, -Brad

Is this an anvil, or an “anvil-shaped object?”

Found this at a local junk shop. Not sure if it’s an actual anvil, or just an Anvil Shaped Object (meaning cast Chinese junk). It doesn’t ring, but not all real anvils did. It’s probably 50-60 pounds, and $125.

Got a South Bend 10-inch Lathe--question on leveling

I just picked up a South Bend 10-inch lathe in a cabinet stand. Do lathes have to be leveled with leveling feet? Just double-checking before I go all OverKill on yet another project

My $125 vintage Craftsman drill press score

Picked this up a few months ago and finally got it put back together and in my shop. I bought it based on cell pics. The shop was cluttered, so I didn’t pay attention to what was on the drill press table... thought it was just stuff sitting on it. Got there to pick it up, it’s been moved to...

Flat Rate Tool Lot; Snap-on, Mac, Craftsman, others

ODD LOTS!!! I have too many wrenches. Didn't think it was possible, but my tool boxes (including two travel boxes), show me it is. All these, one price, shipped in a flat rate box. Some may have light owner's marks, but I didn't notice any. Standard Snap-On ½-9/16 long-pattern double box ½...

Need pic of Craftsman 150 Drill Press on/off switch

Like the title says... I recently acquired a Craftsman 150 drill press, and the on/off switch is not only not original, the installation is kinda hacked. So among other things, I'll need to get that fixed to get it up and running. Anybody have a pic of one so I know what to look for? Thanks!

Best way to pull pin from vintage swivel jaw vise?

Last year I scored a vintage Parker vise with the rear swivel jaw. Like every other swivel jaw vise, the pin is seized. What's the best way to get that pin out without destroying it? I have an O/A torch, so I can apply several cycles of heat. But past that, I'm kind of at a loss. (and I...

HVAC DOWN! Am I on the right track for repair?

A couple years ago, the outside part of my HVAC system stopped HVACing... With some tips here, I figured out it was the start/run capacitor and had it fixed in no time, for $25. Came home late this afternoon, and heard the unit humming loudly. Stuck a screwdriver into the grate to spin the...

$100 worth of Mac at the NE GA Swap Meet

Dunno if this was a good deal or not, but for $100, I’ll have at least a full set of quality Mac wrenches for my race trailer tool box, added a 1 1/16 combo to my junkyard/road trip box, and some for the Ammo Box tool kit for my ‘62 K10 project. Sockets are 3/8 6pt standard. Three ratcheting...

    Match for Crowntop Silver Hammertone?

Is there a really, really good match out there for the crowntop Craftsman hammertone silver paint? I found a three-drawer intermediate box, but it needs to be restored. I'd add it to my dad's original top and bottom boxes, but I want it to match.
