    GearWrench virgin...stubby,flexhead, reverse, or straight?

This will be my first time (gearwrench purchase)......please be gentle. I have the basic standard combo wrenches and socket sets for occasional wrenching. After pouring through all the past threads here about gearwrenches, I have become "turned on" to loose my gearwrench virginity. Zero...

Dewalt vs. Milwaukee Electric Impact Wrench

Gentlemen, Help me decide between the 1/2" Dewalt DW292 vs the Milwaukee 9072. Both are excellent wrenches. The Dewalt boasts 345 ft. lbs./7.5 amps and is an old tried and true design. The Milwaukee has 300 ft. lbs. and VARIABLE speed/torque (100 to 300) and is 1 lb. lighter...

Torque Wrench Decision, Down to Two

To keep to the point, I have decided to buy clicker style wrenches. I have some beam types for back up, I can't afford/justify electronic, and I don't feel dial types are better for my applications. My choice: CDI micrometer wrenches vs. Precision Instrument split beams. I'm leaning with...

Micrometer vs. split beam clicker torque wrenchs

Hi everyone, My very first post here. I would like to compare the pro's and cons of the Precision Instrument type split beam torque wrench vs. the standard micrometer style torque wrench. Both clicker styles.....not the "bending beam" wrench. I'm looking at the better brands: Proto...
