    Just acquired a Hay-Budden anvil

I want to get his posted to assist with understanding what I have; a bit later I will post the backstory to honor the man who owned it - my longtime neighbor Bob Fisher. Thus far I think what I have is a 74lb (a guess from the stamping - I haven't weighed it yet) H-B, 3 "handling holes", SN#...

detached garage, mid-century redo, wall layers questions

So before I start on the house make-over, I want to redo my circa 1955 garage. This has been my family's house in Sacramento County CA since 1968, and I plan on eventually moving back into it once everything is done (more on that later). Replacement Pin, Spring & Knurl for 1960's Crescent 8"

Ugh - I'm pissed that I didn't notice the screw-pin securing the knurled adjustment barrel on my older 8" Crescent was backing out and **** - it's gone! This was my Dad's and was passed down to me (apparently NOT for "safe keeping"), so while I could just buy a new one and move on, I want...

    Hail to the Forum!

Too Long, Don't Bother Reading (TLDBR) version - glad to be here and look forward to being part of the community.:D I have 3 Garages in Sacramento county, so I figured being here was almost mandatory. #1 is a 3-car, with no actual cars in it, attached to my primary residence of 31 years in Elk...
