    Ballistix Install

Man that must be some hard sealer!!! @KPack I applaud you for your hard work and working with @Armorpoxy to try and resolve this disastrous situation, you certainly have more patience than I think I would have had. I am wondering though why you didn't just go ahead and grind. Just totally...

Legacy Industrial Matting Agent... Satin or Matte

OK. I was wondering that since one bottle of the old/liquid = satin and two = matte the same might apply to the new/powder. Since I am wanting a matte finish in the office I will use 4/5 of the bag for the 4 gallons. Thanks Scotty

Question re: applying LI 6600MMA concrete sealer under and over a painted logo

In the 300 sq ft office area of the Buick Sales and Service Garage this coming week, I plan to apply 2 coats of Legacy Industrials HD6600MMA sealer with their Frontier Tan Color Bomb pigment added then paint a stenciled Buick logo followed by a coat of 6600 clear. Has anyone done this with this...

Legacy Industrial Matting Agent... Satin or Matte

I've just finished sealing the 1300 sq ft garage area of the Buick Sales and Service garage with 2 - 3 coats of Legacy Industrial HD6525MMA using their liquid/gel Matting Agent I purchased along with the sealer a few years back. All went fairly well. This coming week I will be applying their...

What’s this dark color at the control joints?

Contraction joints were cut the next morning after pour (6 plus years ago) but your assessment is probably right. I had just never noticed the stains before. I applied the first coat of 6600MMA sealer today so will see how the look in next couple days. Thanks you @mcbane

What’s this dark color at the control joints?

Acid etched this floor a week ago, have had fans running 24-7 and doors open all days ever since. These dark “stains” remained. I kept thinking it was because of rinse water that might have been standing in the joints although they were vacuumed after flooding/rinsing and would eventually dry...

Need solid color floor but having second thoughts on H&C stain and sealer

@Shea I thought I had found the answer to my needs of a tannish color floor coating. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01G8H953Q/?tag=atomicindus08-20 But alas, it is an EPOXY which from everything I've read will yellow in time due to all the sunlight coming through the south facing windows of the...

Need solid color floor but having second thoughts on H&C stain and sealer

Thanks for that Shea. I've read your many articles including the Beware of Using Fake Concrete Stains so understand what you are saying. It appears that "Getting a solid color look out of a real stain is difficult" is the problem I am having trouble overcoming. Perhaps I should look into paint...

Need solid color floor but having second thoughts on H&C stain and sealer

So I've cleaned and etched the floor to my garage and will be using Legacy Industrial 6600 to seal the actual garage area. I have been researching products to use in the office area where there will be no vehicle traffic, only foot traffic. I want the floor to be a solid light color with a matt...

    Safe and affordable concrete etch?

All done. 4:1 water/acid (easy to measure in a 5 gallon bucket) applied with a water sprinkler. Spread around while still fizzing, let sit 3-4 minutes, scrubbed vigorously all over then pushed off probably half with brooms. Then sprinkled on water soda mix at 2 lbs to 5 gallons with sprinkler...

    Safe and affordable concrete etch?

I just went ahead and bought a couple of Harbor Freight respirators and will be using muriatic acid and neutralizing with soda and 500,000 gallons of water. Thanks @BillK , @lolaetype and @65ranchero (y)(y)(y)

    Safe and affordable concrete etch?

@65ranchero I've used straight muriatic acid on sheets of tin and other metals outside and just avoided breathing in the fumes. I have not used it inside a garage at 5:1 or greater ratio. With barn garage doors open and 3 30" fans blowing will a respirator be necessary. anybody have an answer...

    Safe and affordable concrete etch?

Since my wife will be helping with the concrete etching of my 1600 sg ft garage, i'd prefer a tried and tested (by you guys) safe etching product. I will be doing this tomorrow so no time for mail order products. Considering Rustoleum Etch and Cleaner...? "A true alternative to muriatic acid, it...

    Legacy Industrial 6525, shelf life?

OK Scotty, for this 1200 sq ft project, I've decided to move forward with using the 6 year old 6525 for the first coat and purchasing an additional 5 gallons of HD6600-MMA for the second coat. I opened the 5 gal can of the 6525, it gave a vacuum sealed sound when I opened it and appears...
