Have the same one... just bought it off Amazon earlier this week as I was working on a new project and was tired of guessing at sizes. $28 shipped I think?

what about a thread checker kit?

Whoa... surely there is a source for Whitworth and British Std here? McMaster Carr? https://britishfasteners.com/ 7696 Route 31, Lyons NY 14489 USA Found these guys... On a side note... that's a cool little car. I've always liked those Austins.

    New old Craftsman tool box

PM'd you... I probably have the slides & drawer you are missing. That'll make a good "road box" so long as the lock bars are working properly and will keep the drawers shut when loaded up and going around corners, etc. The earlier versions of those boxes had "external" handles that simply...

    Kr500 repair

Very cool... I have always loved that box for some reason. I think it might be the "mid century" look it has. Unique and modular. I have yet to see one in the wild either.

    Channellock green handle screwdrivers?

I picked up this pair of Channellock screwdrivers with the green acetate handles awhile back from a hardware store that closed. These were the only green ones laying on the shelf. I thought they were interesting being I had never seen them in green before. Anyone have any insight? Common? Rare?

Why do "Dealers" allways ruin "for sale sites"

I still try to do a bit of selling on ebay. Honestly I don't get the prices I used to for items simply because there aren't the people looking to "bid" on items. I can list something as "buy it now" and sell it for 30% more and sell it within 48 hours. If I list something as a 7 day auction I...

Got a new to me KRL1001 today.

Man... what a deal! I had a deal for one on the hook here locally from a tech here at the shop but he backed out last minute. Those KRL1001's are great. The depth is what I was after. Takes something quite a bit wider to offset that width vs. depth!

    Masterforce Tool Box Sale

That 56" setup is nice! I'm thinking I might go with the 72" version as it should work better for my needs. I wish the 56" had two full width top drawers.

Vintage Craftsman (red/grey) and Snap On KRM-54 tool box parts

Over the winter I picked up a couple of older Craftsman red/grey boxes and a Snap On KRM-54. Both with too much rust damage to be salvageable for a resto, etc. So I pulled the good stuff off and figured someone might need some pieces for a resto job. Someone sprayed the C-man boxes blue at...

    Kra500

I'd love to have one of those. Someone bought one from Crane Cams auction a few years ago and restored it. There is a thread somewhere.

    Red/Gray 60's/70's Craftsman box... parts?

I worked on one of the handles with a block and couldn't get it to budge. Then a local guy called me and offered to take the entire bottom roller cab off my hands for a few $$ so I sold the cab this weekend. Kept all the upper drawers, emblems and side push handle for the lower.

Let's Hear it for the Old Gray/Red Sears Craftsman Tool Chests and Cabinets (60s/70s)

Pretty impressive how much "fade" has happened over the years.... I doubt you could polish the rest back out to match but it might be possible? If you want to rehome that Speedwagon emblem let me know. ;)

    Red/Gray 60's/70's Craftsman box... parts?

I was looking at the handles the other day... can't quite tell how you get them off? I actually took a minute and cleaned up the slides on the side of the drawers and the lower roller drawers slid right back in with ease and seem to roll pretty well actually! The drawer handles look like they...

    Between 485 & 705 SQ/FT Modern House - Eastern Shore

Oh wow! Yeah ours has a slight slight slight pitch to it so that it drains to the edges and the gutters do all the work. We have all sorts of trees and clog the gutters with a variety of shapes and sizes throughout the year so we've made it a habit to monthly get up and blow out the gutters as...

    Between 485 & 705 SQ/FT Denver MCM garage expansion

kwyjibo, Just stumbled across this thread and am loving the landscape/hardscape work! Wish you hadn't lost some of the early shots to photobucket! I have a 60's modern house in KC with a carport that was at some point converted to a garage (luckily they added depth when they did so I've...

    Red/Gray 60's/70's Craftsman box... parts?

No plans for the casters at this point. I'll probably keep some of the drawer clips for my other boxes and if I can salvage the drawer slides they would be up for grabs as well. Same for the handles on the top box, lock cylinders (no keys though) and anything else people might want.
