Anybody done a temporary wall with something like sheets of styrofoam? I know it wouldn't pass fire code.

    Christmas Lights

My Grandparents used a lot of c9's in the 60's with the screw in base. Big thing was for kids to steal the bulbs. They spread some pig manure on the bases and that pretty much put an end to that. This was Wisconsin so smell in the winter was minimalized until warm.

    Christmas Lights

A worker in Menards told me that "suicide cords" were a big request every year. Funny thing is young "kid" helped me install the lights on a big tree outside of ours. Wasn't paying attention and guess what I needed to make when done?

USA made Wilton drill press vise quality?

If you have a need, and you didn't have to finance the purchase I think you did fine.

    Dewalt at Walmart Online?

I bought a couple of dewalt 20volt 2 ah batteries at Walmart online a week or so ago. They were only $25.00 each, but they came in a box, but neither of them were in a package. Makes me wonder!

    Garage Door Opener Wiring Question

I intentionally put ours on a switched outlet. That way if I only want it partially opened I can shut it off. That will not work on newer openers with "battery backup".

    Condensation in my garage

My parents had a two car garage that had condensation issues, mostly in the summer (Wisconsin). Garage was insulated and sealed fairly well. They found out if they opened the attic hatch in the summer, the moisture would get drawn out by the attic vents. They did make a screen for the opening...

    Vintage power tool collecting

I have one like your PC 666 and really like it. It has a different feel or balance to it. Doesn't get a lot of use these days with cordless.

Overhead garage controller, too high to reach to program additional fobs

We have a liftmaster and I never paid any attention to what was under the little flap on the hardwired remote. You can program from there.

    Organization ideas?

I bet you could come up with a way to mount something such as plywood between the two horizontal girts at the back, so you wouldn't loose your ready made shelves

Using exterior paint on the interior drywall??

I needed some paint for a garage sheetrock a few years ago, and the "paint person" at Menards actually recommended exterior due to the fact that it would do better under extreme temps. I know the paint person at Menards isn't necessarily an expert, but it made sense to me and it has held up well.

    Concrete Lifting Thoughts

I did a 3 x 3' section of sidewalk next to a door once. I dug a little "pit under the edge" and used a hydraulic jack to raise the concrete to desired height. Then spray foamed underneath as much a possible using a couple straws as extensions. Let cure overnight, removed jack and applied more...

    Dental Torque Wrench

I asked what the "torque setting" was when the did mine. She told me some number that didn't mean anything to me. I'm pretty sure I didn't have any "meds" in me at that time.

Not new news; just recent evidence corded power tools are now officially worthless junk

I'm retired so I do use my tools for a living. Most are corded. Most will also outlive me without needing a new battery. I have no reason to change them out for battery as long as they still work.

Removing Satellite Dish from New Roof

I like the idea of getting "gravel" from the gutters and sprinkling it on the filler.
