Is there a master list of Vise Grips out there?

The timing of this is great, I've been sorting out my vice grips and was curious if there was such a chart. Thanks

    Home Depot grumble

I tried to get a cordless drill battery this spring at Home Depot. It was on sale and showed stock in store. Couldn't find it so asked at Contractor Desk. They told me the inventory is always one less than actual, but they still couldn't find one. I paid and got one shipped to store but it...

2025 Garage Sale Thread (14th Annual)

Way back about 50 years ago, we would always shop after Christmas sales for coats for the next year. I really wanted a "parka" and the only one we could find was women's. It fit, and was a good price. I never told anyone else, back then you would have been constantly teased. I don't remember...

Milwaukee says 6019 palm sander can't be fixed. Au contraire.

Have you tried ebay? I needed one for a Porter Cable sander and they had all kinds of "after market" sanding pads for this unit. I didn't need it to be original equipment-just for it to work.

Never used vintage router, whats it worth?

I haven't bought a 1/4" router bit in probably 20 years. I upgraded almost all my routers to 1/2" collets.

Never used vintage router, whats it worth?

Not to be negative, but I bet it only accepts 1/4" bits, and most now are 1/2", and I doubt you can change the collet.

    Valley Forge Flag

I read somewhere once that it helps the life if you take them down for a few days every once in a while and let them rest. Don't know if there is any truth to that statement.

Mystery (to me, at least) large screwdriver.

Got nothing to add, but I recently got a large screwdriver (in a tool box) at a garage sale. It had the metal sticking out of the handle but no "rubber" cover. Now I know the rest of the story!

    Delta unisaw question

The older ones with the big fat motor have a lot more power than newer ones. But if it has the "big fat motor" they very hard to find a replacement motor. A picture would help.

Stanley sockets at Walmart, early 2000's

I have a metric/standard set that I bought there years ago on clearance. I keep it in my woodshop and it does what I need it to.

Is it sacrilege to switch out these two vises?

I did something similar, my "new" vice is unnamed but larger. I did keep the Wilton though. I like larger vices.

On the curious rarity of fill dirt at garden stores

Not an answer to you question, but a tip. Instead of just throwing dirt over my low spots, I dig out a section of sod, add some dirt and relay the sod. No seeding and with a little water it does great.
