    sharpener

I use this for basically everything https://worksharptools.com/products/woodworking-tool-sharpener-ws3000?srsltid=AfmBOoq8xMFl7GvjXNvxmidCQGFmhjoeecS6lNEteic_k1cfg2cFz5NL Although mine's been modified a bit. Between the Worksharp and a diamond stone and a strop, I haven't really found a need...

    1/4 screwdriver bit storage preferences

I've never heard "insert bit" or "power bit" before, but after looking them up, I assume we're talking the same thing. I think everyone else in the world (or myself, and everyone I've ever known) says "impact bits" for the quick release, snap-into-your-impact-driver bits, and "driver bits" for...

    1/4 screwdriver bit storage preferences

I'm going by what KnurledNut said, that they're not the same "quick release" impact bits that you generally see.

    1/4 screwdriver bit storage preferences

You mean those things that the bits fall out of, so you lose them? And add more movement to the piece as a whole? I hate those things, and only use them when I absolutely need them for some reason

    1/4 screwdriver bit storage preferences

I hate Amazon as much as the next guy, but at the same time, I do like saving money. Never heard of Nelson Bowers Either way, I thought they were impact bits, and they're not... so I'm not buying them anyways.

    1/4 screwdriver bit storage preferences

Obviously, I started looking at what my local Cabelas had in stock for 22 cases, and remembered this pic when I found this on their website https://www.cabelas.com/p/mtm-sb-200-series-rimfire-ammo-box I assume that's the same guy? Looks like a great candidate for short bits

    1/4 screwdriver bit storage preferences

Well that includes me. Why do they say "impact" on them then? Seems quite misleading.

    1/4 screwdriver bit storage preferences

I was just struggling with my ENORMOUS Dewalt case of impact bits the other day helping my uncle rebuild some stairs. That Vessel set looks killer, love the small case. And it has somehow fallen into my amazon cart. It looks like it's actually in stock at the ACE a few miles away, but it's...

    heavy agriculture item

Looks like an electric motor mounts to the flat plate, which would turn the small pulley, then the large pulley would turn through the gearbox (I assume), probably at a much lower speed. That's my guess anyways.

Coating for chainsaw aluminum fuel tank interior

Technically it was 5 saws for $40, sold the rest (for parts or after fixing) for well over that combined, but I still call it an $8 saw. Mine didn't have the chain brake on it when I bought it, and I've never bothered to find one and put it on. Someday I'd like to go through it and repaint etc...

Am I the only one with 100 tape measures and never have one handy?

Granted, I've only got 3 rolling toolboxes and 2 smaller handheld boxes, but I've got 3 tapes and know where they all are.

Coating for chainsaw aluminum fuel tank interior

That's how POR-15 is usually used, put it in a tank, and rotate every once in a while to let it coat everything. However, it's usually used in "regular" fuel tanks where you only have access through a small hole. I've had great luck with it, and put it in every old motorcycle tank I re-do...

How do I remove this item (red plug thing) from a baldor grinder?

I'd grab it with pliers, and spin the shaft and it should essentially unthread itself.

That's how I usually operate unfortunately.

    Show your new tool arrivals

Been looking for a another box to replace my 8 drawer Kennedy. It seems I need another toolbox every 5 years or so as the tools stack up. Saw this TRP on CL, brand new unused for $500. I ended up giving the guy a watch that I don't really wear (that I paid about $100 for) and $250 cash. He even...

'unicorn wrench' made by craftsman... but i KNOW it's real!

I was talking about in general. I've probably used a 15mm wrench elsewhere, but definitely couldn't tell you where or when. I don't recall any on old motorcycles (and I've had quite a few, from the late 60's on up), don't ride bicycles, and hate electric yard tools, so none there.

'unicorn wrench' made by craftsman... but i KNOW it's real!

VW head nuts are, I believe, the only time I've encountered 15mm heads.

'unicorn wrench' made by craftsman... but i KNOW it's real!

That's exactly the problem with old tools. Somebody gets a liking for them, then so does everybody else, then you can't find the damn things. I'm convinced there are a number of popular youtubers that have single-handedly driven up the prices of obscure old tools.

Damnit. Now not only do I want these, I have to contend with everyone else in this thread on eBay.

    Z Shaped Allen Wrench

I mean... that's not really fair. It was only faster because it was included and you didn't have to look for the right bit. If you put the bit in the drill and it falls out, that's on you for not putting it in correctly. If a drill doesn't fit, that's one thing. But if a drill is slower than a...
