MAC-Allied rolling tool box date of manufacture

Not exactly. All tools not manufactured by Mac were brought in under the name "Mac Allied." That included the tool boxes. The company then split (back in the 70s or 80s is I recall correctly), with Mac and Mac Allied going there separate ways.

MAC-Allied rolling tool box date of manufacture

Correct! MATCO literally stands for Mac Allied Tool Company, the part of Mac Tools which brought in outside products for Mac dealers.

    multi-zone "standard" ac?

Ours has a variable speed compressor and a variable speed blower. As we were already buying a fairly "premium" unit, the expense of the associated pieces (control unit, dampers, etc) wasn't too much. I don't think it will necessarily "pay for itself," but it does allow for a more stable...

    multi-zone "standard" ac?

We have a multi-zone system. You won't be able to get it down to individual rooms, but you can zone a couple rooms. We have 3 in a 1,700sqft house and love it. It also keeps the temps more even as you don't have to mess with the dampers so much.

    Above 1200 Sq/FT La grange

Nope... Didn't figure it out until well after spending thousands of dollars on re-re-rebuilding the thing, then giving up and putting a small block in it.

    Above 1200 Sq/FT La grange

The only trouble was, no one told me you couldn't use a BBC high volume oil pump on an '09. They fit and function perfectly, but the block won't drain the oil back to the pan fast enough, so you end up starving the engine of oil as it's all in the top.

Perimeter lights on or off at night time?

I moved to the country to get out of the 24/7 daylight. Security? Lights on or off, criminals figure out when you're watching and when you're not. You can have it lit up like the sun, but that won't stop the bad guys if they can figure out no one is looking.

Keeping adhesives from drying out after opening.

I think you've misunderstood the "cost more" part. It's not the a quart sells for $10 while a pint sells fo $12, but that the cost per quart for an individual quart is more than the cost per quart when buying a gallon (e.g. $5 per individual quart as compared to $16 for a gallon).

Keeping adhesives from drying out after opening.

When you're dealing with a product like POR15, many adhesives, etc, which absolutely will go bad once you have opened them, paying a bit more per ounce for a smaller container saves you money in the long run when you don't throw large amounts of it away.

The Truck Tool Equivalents Thread - Gathering Data

I don't mind Taiwan as I've found most stuff produced there to be very durable and high quality. Stuff from China? I avoid that like the plague if I can.

More than a rumor: SK is in fact in process of being sold.

The more China owns of Western companies, the more leverage China has in case of conflict with the West. China doesn't play a short game. Everything they do is looking way down the timeline.

    SK Steals and Deals

Except the reason 5 product came in 4 boxes is because two of the ratchets were actually packed together. Having worked in a place with a warehouse, I know many times the warehouse workers just don't care.

    SK Steals and Deals

Got these a week or two ago. Only issue was the people in their warehouse who packaged these 5 items in 4 separate boxes.
