Looking for a axle master rethread kit like this..

Needed to borrow this from another tech today, its Matco and saved my ***.. Is this something yall would trust from a cheaper company?

    The VISES of Garage Journal

This was given to me as a gift. I'm sure it pales in comparison to ones in this thread but hopefully it will hold up. My one concern is the washer at the end..won't that just bend under heavy tightening?

    Best cheap 1/2" Impact?

Ryobi kit I bought as a gift for my bro. Came with 4ah battery/charger $99 at home depot. If your taking wheels off and on, your not giving them enough time to build up rust/corrosion. Basically saying you don't need a monster impact, any medium duty will do fine

I would just get the big daddy 600ft lb one and get a 3/8" and 1/4" adapter for your current impact driver

Any measuring tools you can recommend for a collision tech?

Yup it's a real time waster not having it in house. You get these cheap insurance companies that want proof the strut and knuckle are bent let's say, when I can't prove it they say start with the strut.. fails alignment, than I do the knuckle..waste of time

    Dewalt cordless impact wrench

Hmm that is odd. The only time I really break out the beast is for loosening bolts/nuts. My smaller impact does most of what I need and when it comes time to tighten most bolts I can max out the gun and be comfortable it's not going to over do it. My results were less than his, but not far off.

Any measuring tools you can recommend for a collision tech?

Started a new job at a collision center. Looking for a tram gauge and any other measuring devices to determine which parts are bent. Thanks for any suggestions. We dont have an alignment rack and some of these insurance companies like to do bare minimum, the more I can prove right off the bat...

    Dewalt cordless impact wrench

I agree that speed 1 is very slow, but if you let it hit a lugnut until it stops turning (5-10 seconds) you get about 100ft lbs. If you do that on setting 2 you will WAY overtorque a lugnut..

    Cordless Ratchet. IR or Milwaukee...?

Another member here and I came to the conclusion that if the ratchet isn't snugged up to the bolt it gives the tool a "running start". I'm use to it now and it's a muscle memory when using the tool so it doesn't take any more time or thought. Say if your loosening a bolt right before you hit the...

    Cordless Ratchet. IR or Milwaukee...?

My buddy had the HF one and it's size/weight/power felt the same as my fuel.. here is mine at 70ftlbs

    Cordless Ratchet. IR or Milwaukee...?

I have had the old m12 3/8 and now the fuel. The old one has no balls but is a good bit smaller and lighter. I just looked up your current 3/8" and it looks huge haha. Air isn't an option? Many more options with more torque and also impacting ratchets which I haven't tried yet but seem like the...

Impact wrench kit was a gift for my brother and the tire inflator is worth a shot at $20. Husky set was $99, Impact was 99. Will give reviews on the Ryobi stuff later on.
