Wow! John, where did you find the two chevys? I do have some extra parts for the 31 that may be left over from the build. Thanks e-tek, now that the building has had its final the inspector will only be stopping by for social visits and we'll get a lot more done in the shop area and that will...

Thanks for the nice words, When the county issued the permit they est. the building cost at about 68K and the were darn close. The lighting is actually brighter than the pictures show, and yes I'll be adding more in the form of task lighting around the perimeter of the shop. Here's some...

Sorry it's been awhile... Here's some pics after the ceiling insulation was installed. The white material covering the bats has a 1 hr. burn time plus the reflection for the lights is great. Plus we got the walls up to 8 ft all mudded and taped. Next a coat of paint.

    3 phase motor - 520V?

I've seen 525V 3 phase in a lot of the older lumber and pulp mills in this area. Seems to be going away as they shut down and are replaced with something else. Just my 2 cents worth...

Well I got the electrical installed and the inspector wants the walls covered 8 Feet up because I ran all my wires on the top side of the Girts. I can see why, they're afraid you would use the Girts as shelves and may set something heavy and/or sharp on the wire and cause a problem. So I...

    Inclined Track

This is what I ended up installing in my new shop. It was about a 120 dollar option when I ordered them. One door is 10' X 10' and the other is 12' X 12'. I would think you could have your current door altered to work the same. If in fact it's that type of door??? Good Luck

Here's a few pics after installing the lights, three per bay. I didn't do the last bay because there's going to be a loft at the 8' level. (14 X 40') It's brighter inside than what the picture shows??? Don't tell the inspector, but I couldn't wait to see what the overhead lights would look...

    "Coyote Flats"

Last week-end I had help from a friends son-in-law who's a journeyman electriction. We finished up the overhead lights, the highest at 19' and I don't do good that far up in the air. Anyway Sunday afternoon as we were just hanging the last light and I had installed a temp. plug to power them...

Sorry, no it doesn't run. That would sure leave a great conversation piece on the floor for the future. Maybe I can find a friend to do one for me, good idea C F. The last time I tried something like that I wiped out my solvent tank. Forgot I hadn't hooked up the brakes yet!!!
