    Help with =V= series ratchets

Hi. I came across a nice set of (1/4, 3/8, and 1/2) =V= series ratchets over the weekend as part of a surprise haul that came together over the weekend.. I think I've dated them to Late 40's to 50's. The 1/4" still has the oil port, but the oil port is missing on the 3/8" and 1/2"...

    DeWalt oscillating tool help..

I have a DCS355. I really like this tool. And I want to like it more. But I have an issue I hope y’all can weigh in on. Since new, the blade sometimes rotates on the shaft. To be upfront and clear, it is not rotating with regard to losing its registration in the quick release clamping...

    DeWalt 2x 8AH batteries and charger $149

Thank you OP!! When I showed the guy in the tool department (he had to unlock the cage) he said something like "I don't know why we do this...". Whatever, dude. My store had 6 after I left. I'm sure these 8AH aren't the best, but the first time I've been able to break the $10/ah target in a...

Do You want discussions scrapped from Hot Deals?

Discussion is more information. More information is good. For me - I just filter the noise (which is subjective) and keep scrolling. No complaints here on how things are. I just ignore people and posts that seem that they might annoy me. I check the Deals daily. Sometimes more than...

Northern Tool 240VAC 3,000/5,000 Watt Heater on Sale for $99

That is a good price. These go on sale from time to time at TSC, too. I got one two years ago for $80 at TSC. I rigged up a wifi thermostat in my little shed / workshop so I can warm it up on my way home from work or early on a saturday morning... I haven't seen them cheap in a while. I...

    Union Steel Toolbox

Anybody want a older, lightly used, not super well maintained "Union" steel toolbox with tray? Pics below. Free to anyone that wants it. I'm in Reading, PA. No idea what it takes to ship it, but if it's worth the price of shipping to you, let me know. Otherwise, it will be here...

Help me find a thin walled 1/4" drive 13mm socket

I still haven't gotten any measurements, but Sparky, I think you are onto something with the cheap extra and epoxy. It will just be dedicated. Sometimes this horse needs to be led to the water. Thanks!

Help me find a thin walled 1/4" drive 13mm socket

I tried SK, old (like 30+ years old) craftsman, and my gear wrench 1/4" stuff. I really should have measured. If I recall correctly it was the SK that wouldn't even go in the recess, and the GW went in and got stuck. The C-Man must have gotten stuck on too, because I don't remember two...

Help me find a thin walled 1/4" drive 13mm socket

Yes, I realize that. I came onto this problem last week and didn't measure it up then, so I thought I'd ask. Terra Nova / Oil Leak: I do have a small lathe. I'll try that. I have some junk 13mm and 1/2" stuff that I can "practice" on. Seems harder than just "oh yeah, so and so makes...

Help me find a thin walled 1/4" drive 13mm socket

Hola! Looking for a thinwall 13mm socket. Would prefer not to get a set. I'm going to have to remover a walnut **** stock from a receiver quite a bit --- getting it off is no problem, but when I reinstall it, I keep pulling the 1/4" extension out of the socket. Seems the recess in which...

    Tiny Workshop Inspiration

These photos are approximately 20 years old. I built a 10x12 shed and had a lot going on in there. This was before instagram when everything had to look nice, I think I took these photos as a remembrance. I had good lighting, small corner workbenches with natural daylight, and I was...

    Ratcheting screwdriver advice

Won't be popular, but I bought a gearwrench 56 piece ratcheting screwdriver set (screwdriver handle and T handle) more than ten years ago. It's not my favorite tool, but it's def. in my top 15. I love it. I don't have a snap on, I'm sure I'd love it, too. I do like the softgrip handle and...

    2021 Lowe's deals/sales/clearance thread

I got three of the calipers in Reading, PA today for $3.06. I wanted one for each workbench, but I ended up giving one to a bud. It showed 13 in stock. I searched and searched and finally found one on display. Then I found a box overhead with the sku, marked QTY:4 --- I ended up poking at it...

    Rubber Flooring for Garage Gym

just bought some 4x6 3/4" stall mats at TSC tonight for this very purpose! Haven't been on here, so this thread didn't register for me. But, I brought them home, hosed them off. Will put them in place in the morning. They definitely had a TSC / Harbor Freight smell to them. I imagine it...
