Haha. Since when do all tool or equipment purchases have to make financial sense? If I had the money and space, I'd have tire changing equipment regardless of how often I used it. Because if I needed or wanted to to do something with any tire/wheel, I can do it right away or when and how I want...
Why is it so hard to find a simple square lock pin?!? They're commonly used on heavy duty trailer jacks to raise/lower the adjustable foot. I have one sitting in front of me so I know they exist. Pin diameter is 9/16" and total pin length is 3.5". I need another one but I can't find them...
Dewalt 20v works good. BUT...it uses oil like crazy and it leaks oil. And having to press the safety switch before you can pull the trigger and cut gets really old and annoying real quick.
The NAPA 3.5t is really heavy but my bigger complaint is that the lift speed is SLOW. I think because it's a single piston. Thankfully, it's not my primary jack so I live with it. I typically use a 2t aluminum jack with much, MUCH faster lift speed. Also much lighter so it's easier/quicker to...
Looking for some advice or ideas. I want to have a few tri-axles of fill, topsoil and modified delivered and dumped in a weeded area on the edge of my property. It's direct access off the main road so no issues there. I will use a Kubota tractor with FEL and backhoe to move and spread it all in...
I used to be a C-clamp user too but got tired of fighting with positioning, wood blocks for multi-piston calipers, etc.
I bought the Lang tool and will never go back.

"I think..." and "I'm counting on..." are not good approaches. Compile a list of questions. Some good ones are already in this thread. Get references of customers who purchased and built what you're planning to do. Talk to THEM and ask all of the questions. Even go visit them and look at the...
90% of coupons are gone. There used to be many free item coupons, % off coupons and item-specific coupons. But not anymore. So yes, there is truth to HF "doing away with coupons." There are still some random % off coupons that come out but nothing like before.

I recently purchased...
1/2 In. Horsehair Bristle Acid Shop Brushes, 36 Pc. - good for applying grease on terminals, brake jobs, etc
Nitrile Coated Nylon Work Gloves Large - good for light mechanic work (i.e. rotating tires, reassembly, etc)
I haven't gotten anything from Zoro in a long time. If anyone has one of these mystical 20% off coupons and isn't going to use it, I would like to buy a new air hammer from them.
Thanks all! I ended up buying the Astro 204 Onyx. Cordless would have been nice but I'm already invested into Dewalt tools/batteries and I didn't want to go down the red road for fear of it never ending (ha ha).
I'm looking to buy a right angle (90 degree) pneumatic die grinder to clean up surfaces on a vehicle (wheel hubs, brakes, etc). Probably only use it a handful of times a year but I want it to be reliable and work whenever I need it. I'm a DIY guy that's willing to pay a little extra for quality...
I have not. Although I did recently visually inspect the plastic salt grid plate at the bottom of the brine tank, without removing it, and it's clean. If there is dirt, it's below it and not interfering with anything. Based upon Marlo's salt recommendations in their manual, I am using the...
