My first time trying electrolysis (large 4 post lift)

I'm amazed at some of the stuff I see on this forum - including this. Lots of effort and creativity. Hope your project is a success.

    Mini split pricing

For what it's worth, I paid $2800 for a small, private company to install a Fujitsu 12k BTU mini split on 9-9-20.

    Toro mower at HD

Don't wash it or use those garden hose connectors on decks. Scrape it instead to avoid any moisture/rust buildup.

    Big Pipe - Ideas

List it for sale on Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace and require potential buyers to answer the following questions... 1. What vehicle will you use to move it? 2. How many people will you bring to lift it? 3. How will you secure it during transport? 4. What are you doing to do with it? I...

    V3 Bug/Suggestion Box

I'm not a fan of the font choice but I think I could learn to live with it. The font size, on the other hand, is WAY TOO BIG on the forum listing (https://www.garagejournal.com/forum) and thread listing pages. It needs to be reduced about 20%. The font size in the thread (replies) themselves is...

PBT "4 in 1" Brake Pad Spreader

I bought the Lang tool to use on 4-piston calipers. Works great on dual and single piston calipers too. Made in USA. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0079GQKDE/?tag=atomicindus08-20

    Garden hose fittings seizing up

I used a liberal amount of anti-seize on my connections and after one year, they came apart no issues. It's now part of my regular hose maintenance - put away them away in winter (bring inside) and take connections apart. Anti-seize in spring and put them back together.

Stedlin 20% off sale on until further notice!

I wasn't going to say anything because "if you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say it at all." But, since YOU asked, I will give some honest feedback and opinion. Watching you attempt to remove and reinsert the plugs was painful. Because it looked faked. Which is a turn off. You...

    Aluminum connectors on garden hose?

If you're connecting it to any brass fittings and will be leaving it connected, good luck getting it off if/when you need to. I paid the price and broke a perfectly good hose reel because the brass hose fitting seized on the cast aluminum intake assembly...

    What's in TruFuel

Lucky for me, I can get 89 octane ethanol free gas locally (30 mile round trip). Current price is $3.76/gallon. Standard 89 octane (with ethanol) is currently $3.51/gallon. I have (8) 5-gallon containers so I keep about 40 gallons of it on hand at any given time. I use it in my snow blower...

    Favorite brand of brake cleaner

Hard to find but it's the only one I will use. Safe on rubber but does not play nice with all plastics. First time I saw someone using it, they were cleaning off bugs and rubber from the painted bodywork of their race motorcycle...

Any feedback on Titan's wheel protector lug nut set?

I've been using a 22mm Titan on a Honda for 4 years. So far so good.

Any decent driver extensions out there?

Agreed. I have some from Bosch and Malco. They are different colors but otherwise identical and work great.

How would your jobsite handle this (tool damage)

I only read the first page and got instantly disgusted by all of the "your mistake" and "hope you learned your lesson" comments. I kept reading the comments though, thinking "there's no way people are this goofy." For the most part, boy was I wrong. What a bunch of disrespectful degenerates...

80’s PINK insulation R value same as today?

I don't know how 1988 insulation compares to 2021 insulation. I suspect you'd be wasting your time. I do know that you can get R15 for 2x4 walls, at least here in the states. Based upon the pricing on Home Depot's website, R15 (BF30) is 20% more than R13 (BF10)...

Hardwood flooring expansion gap from walls

I undercut my drywall when I installed some LVP in a new construction sunroom room. It was the easiest part of the job. Lay down a piece of wood the proper height, mark the wall and cut the drywall using oscillator tool. Throw pieces in trash, vacuum up and you're done. I did it as insurance...
