    How long does loctite last?

At home, no problem. Aviation, or ISO9000 use, must not use after the expiration date Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk

key ways on the crank shaft?

Handyfarmer, I've seen both methods for alignment. Facing each other, and not, even seen one engine where the crank key was at an angle of some degree. It varies. My suggestion is get a manual for whatever you're working on. Or use your phone to take detailed pics. Use it all the time at work...

    Sheet metal tools and brakes?

The fingers on the break are different widths to allow you to make bends of various widths. Think it's exact name is a box break. The different style fingers, not sure. I used to do aircraft sheet metal. I recognize all the tools. What you have is more for working on tin, or ducting. But they...

    Nail Type for T1-11 Panels?

In 1987 my dad built a pole shed using T-111 panels. Used galvanized flatheads. Can't remember the size, drove what seemed like a million! And all by hand! He sold the homestead 4 years ago. We stained that siding once, and he touched up maybe 4 times. That stuff held up to all those years of...

Do I need these - Truss supports?

My dad had a pole shed put up 15 or 20 years ago. He was told they keep the wind from racking the structure. Call it a secondary brace. Now the shed him and I built 30 years ago using the same method, didn't call for them. Talk to shed contractors in the area. The way those braces are nailed to...

Are all Craftsman full polish wrenches made in the USA?

Yah, that's it! Thanks! It's a good thing the machines we have are smaller. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Tapatalk

Are all Craftsman full polish wrenches made in the USA?

Yep! Might as well buy Harbor freight tools. I'm having a mind block at the moment. My employer buys tools from Grainger. They look just like Craftsman tools! They're just as reliable as craftsman. I buy Harbor freight tools for home, cheap, lifetime warranty, and not bad either! Sent from my...

    Soundproof room divider

The method I used for a wall between a laundry room and family room was 2x6 top &bottom plates, then alternate the studs for each side of the wall. Another words, each side of the wall had it's own studs for the sheetrock to attach. I then insulated the wall. Worked very well! Sent from my...

I am looking for one of these

The pic is of a Craftsman garage setup. They are cheaply built. It's all about what your willing to pay. Check Lowes, Home Depot, Sears, if you want Craftsman. Sears has a better line of cabinets/toolboxes. Again, you'll pay. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Tapatalk

    Air Compressor tank life

My compressor is a 1983 DeVilblis. Got a pin hole leak near the drain. Was set at 120 psi cutout. Dropped it to 90psi when I noticed the leak. Like others have found, you can drain the moisture out, not use it. Still find plenty of condesate a day or two later. I'm not the original owner, but...

    Got water in air drill

Run it! WD40 and more air tool oil. Unless you have a good air dryer, you more than likely have seen water spit out the exhaust at some time or another. Take it apart if you want, but it's not going to hurt it. Just running it will pull most water out, then lubing, and running it more will do...

    Hangar Door Insulation options

You'll want light weight, and possibly rigid foam if going that route. Or, some kind of blanket. I would contact a venders that builds the bifold doors. They are fairly touchy, and should not be modified. Very dangerous if something should ever go wrong. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Tapatalk

Well, another American Tool Facility bites the dust.

I went into HF yesterday. It's almost all ****. I will admit to owning a couple deep well 1/4" socket sets from them. Only stuff you wouldn't over torque too often. Otherwise I have, Sears, Snap-on, little Matco. If we ever have a tiff with China, I agree, we're screwed! Sent from my...

What you find under the bottom drawer of a used box

I stashed a fish sandwich under the bottom drawer of a guys toolbox! He'd always stand at his box and harass us at break. He smelled the fish, accused us, parked it somewhere else. Then accused someone else of eating fish all the time! He never figured it out! It worked great for our crew...

Should a New 15A Miter Saw Trip a 20A GFCI Outlet?

I've had GFCI outlets trip with power tools. I wired my garage using a GFCI breaker, never had an issue with power tools. It has however tripped when an extension cord end had salty water from the cars dripping on it once. So it did what it's supposed to!

3ph to single phase for Car hoist

My dealings with industrial setups, all are wired 3 phase line, 3 phase VFD, 3 phase motor. If you can run a 3 Ph VFD, and a 3 Ph motor on single phase line, never seen it. Possible? Don't know! Sorry, I'm wrong, had to Google it. Our engineers would never allow us to do this because of the...
