The VINTAGE toolboxes of Garage Journal!

Picked up this Kennedy 5 Drawer box for $80 bucks this morning. Has Some decent surface rust, nothing crazy but it has the keys, all the drawers and slides are in good shape, includes the original drawer dividers, the base is flat and solid and casters look good. Doesn’t look like it had heavy...

Best/cheapest way to bend some 3/4” tubing?

For handles I would buy steel rod and use a basic $40 HF rod bender or you can make your own bender for free using a vise and some sockets. I've bent motorcycle racks, Baja style headlight mounts etc.. using rod instead of tube before and it is much easier to bend and not to mention easier to weld.

Picked up my second evolution 14” chop saw. Had the last one for 5 years and it performed flawlessly. Sold it when I moved and now setting up a new home metal fab shop so bought another. If you haven’t tried these vs the abrasive chop saws you’re in for a treat.

Parts washer build Harbor freight 20gal.

Good info thank you. Im Wondering how this pump will hold up if I used kerosene or another non water based solvent. Since I’m not doing a ton of old motor rebuilds etc I’m planning on using high strength simple green for now and if that isn’t cutting the grease enough I’ll have to swap to a...

Parts washer build Harbor freight 20gal.

Thought you guys would like this. I had watched a bunch of Youtube vids of people who had upgraded their parts washers and this is what I settled on for mine. Happy with how it turned out. I'm setting up a new home shop for machining and metal fabrication and this will be nice addition to it.
