    Compressor question

I am in the same boat and started looking last week. I was interested in the harbor freight 60gal until I seen this for $50 more. This thing looks like a bad dude for $999. They said I get $50 off if I open a lowes card so then they are the same price. I kinda trust Kobalt over harbor freight...

Heater for 1200 sq ft garage?

I just did a 28 x32 last week and I bought the R13 bats for the walls for $260 from menards and the ceiling I had a company blow in the for $600. So for $860 I had a fully insulated shop. Just save a few paychecks to do that before you buy the heater. I feel like 6 months of running the furnace...

68x27 automotive performance shop at home

Found a drywall guy to do a cash side job after hours and he hung 20 sheets for $400. I just bought the material which was $240 at menards. Any business I had come out wanted $1,000-$1,200 because the ceilings were so high and they had to work around the lift and the furnace up there. Its a...

Last night I finished up installing the chutes that staple to the back side of the roof plywood to allow venting once the insulation is blown in. Got started on the wall insulation next. I got the front wall that has the doors done and half of the side wall. Man that stuff is nasty. I didn't...

Should I block off my shed soffits for heat?

If you use foil backed foam insulation board and fasten it to the roof rafters and seal the inside up it will drop temps inside in the summer and will allow air to still go up through the soffit and out the roof vent on the other side of the foam keeping the air moving under the roof. I would...

    Tire Savers?

I'm **** so I use 3x3 carpet squares. Flat spotting is usually only an issue with bias ply tires but I still do it on radials. The Z06 sat a lot so I always had it parked on the squares as you can see in this photo. Procedure for storing that car when it may sit for a year was: wash and...

68x27 automotive performance shop at home

Got the furnace installed last week. Used unistrut and some threaded rod. Hung it down at the 9ft level like the instructions said. Decided to vent through the wall since my other garage I went through the roof and it leaks, which I've tried to fix multiple times. I'm no expert so I wasn't going...

68x27 automotive performance shop at home

Gregsmith equipment told me this is perfectly fine because it is only a 3/4" deep cut not a seem between 2 slabs in the concrete. The bolts must be 3" away from it still though. The installers that came out agreed and do this all the time.
