Anywhere in/near Austin where I can see a Racedeck or similar floor installed?

Need to pull the trigger on something for my garage floor. Would like to see Racedeck or similar flooring installed before I go down that path. My biggest concern is the feel and the noise of that floor. Just haven't ever seen one installed. Anyone in Austin who wouldn't mind having me over...

    Possibly OT: Water heater problem

My electric water heater is on the fritz. Unit is probably 5-7 years old and looks to be in good shape. The water temp will increase beyond where I would expect it to be given the thermostat setting, to the point where it kicks off, then I hit the reset button and it starts all over again...

They use Arizona Polymer materials. Anyone have anything good, bad or indifferent to say about that stuff? Also getting a quote from the local Epoxy Coat guy.

They say the poly is for UV protection. No mention of primer; I'll ask.

$3.75 / foot for a pro epoxy job?

Now leaning toward epoxy. My garage floor is 20+ years old, has some kind of **** paint on it, is stained in areas with battery acid and/or oil, and is generally pretty rough (though not cracked). I'm getting a $3.75/foot price for a grind, epoxy, flake to rejection, clearcoat, and...

About to pull the trigger on either RaceDeck or GarageDeck: thoughts plus a question

Thoughts on whether the Racedeck is worth 50% more ($3 vs $2 per foot) in a typical residential garage? Also, I can't think of a reason that I wouldn't be able to pressure wash the flooring once in place, but is there a reason I couldn't? Finally, imagine I have a partial tile at the edge of...

Any portable mid-rise scissor lift that will take 8-9K lbs?

Love my house, but the garage has only 8' ceilings, meaning that I'll need to lift my vehicles outside on my (level) garage apron. Anyone aware of portable, mid-rise scissor lift that will take my 7700 lb Excursion in addition to my other, smaller cars? I haven't been able to find one via...

Quick questions regarding VCT and snap together flooring

Trying to figure out what kind of floor to do in a 750 or so s.f. garage. I do minor maintenance and repairs (oil changes, brake jobs) in this garage from time to time. a) will VCT stand up to oil and brake fluid? If I spilled some of either I'd clean it up quickly. b) same question for...
