Question for pro wrenches using pro tools

The Snap on guy I buy from charges me the same price as the web, but he usually thows in something. i.e. The rubber tip when i bought a blow gun. It's not much but it means something to me. When I bought my screwdrivers from the Matco guy he charged me a little less (like 10%) and no tax because...

Generic Craftsman air tools... no torque... is it my tools or the setup?

I bought my impact wrench from Lowes. It's a Kobalt brand. It works quite well for $49.00 . It has 3 forward settings and 1 reverse setting. Takes the Lug nuts of my Dakota and Caravan with no problem. I think its rating is 350 lb/ft.

    The Harbor Freight PASS/FAIL Thread...

I have a 28 degree pneumatic framing nailer that I used to frame the walls in my downstairs den. It has worked very well. (PASS). My dad has a flooring nailer that he has used to put about 2500 sq ft of T&G hardwood flooring down with. Considering a name brand new one is several hundred dollars...

    House fire

First off I am sorry to hear of your mother's tragedy, and am glad no one was injured. I am a fire fighter and I would ask the fire marshal who investigated the fire if he could give you a guess as to the temperature in the room at the height the tools were at the time of the fire. It can be as...

    Philosophy of Screwdrivers

I have Snap-on Instinct soft grip, Matco Black and Orange, Witte, and Craftsman, both regular and black handle pro. I find the comfort of the handle more important than the tip. I have only had to replace one #1 phillips and one #2 phillips because of slightly worn tips and they where the black...

Support for brakes during shock swap?

I have used the coat hanger method. If that won't work for you perhaps a ratchet strap would.

    Sears 50% off tools 12/4/08

I almost bought the shop cart today. ( I exercised self control, I have an anniversary gift to buy my wife) but for $39.99 it didn't seem that bad. It was sturdier then the HF one I saw the other day. I wouldn't stand on it but it shouldhave no problem toting around some tools.

Do You Wax Your Tool box?

I wax them when I get them ( That's what the little bottle of wax that comes in Mothers Clay bar wax kit is for.) then I just use detail spray to wipe them down every once and a while. If I paid what some of the truck boxes cost (Right now I have a Craftsman system) I would wax it all the time...
