OK, I have the manual, and I'm working on the scroll saw, however the crank case plug location is where? Is it the "Steel Pipe Plug" on the drawings that is the crank case plug? The manual helps, however it is from another time and sometimes I have a problem with old scrolls from the dead...

I'm really happy with the saw, the part has been sourced. The age of the saw prevents me from getting parts from Sears. I don't care about age, I care about quality.

So I will bolt it down correctly and use it. As for the hole, I will have to live with it.
