    Cold Bluing a Bullet Vise

Cold bluing will not protect the metal finish. All it will do is darken it and make it look better. If you don't protect the surface after bluing the surface will rust over night depending on your climate. Same thing happens to blued guns. If you're going to blue then I'd spray some kind of...

    My Space

Actually only the ceiling is white. The walls are light blue, the cabinets are a shade darker blue and the floor is a lighter gray than I thought it would be. It is very bright in there. I may repaint the center (working area) of the floor black or dark gray and see if that ties it together. And...

    My Space

With new paint on top, bottom and sides. There still seems to be too much yard stuff though. It's all very bright and shiny but it I just don't have the layout right yet. It doesn't "speak" to me. Idunno, it needs something.

    Crows feet

I've never needed nor used one until last month when I noticed that the nut holding the rear footboard of my Heritage Classic was a bit loose. I didn't have a crowsfoot so I made one.

I got this Husky driver several years ago at Home Depot. Measures 20". I use it for removing stock screws on shotguns and it's plenty sturdy.

    Edger blade shaft removal

Thanks for the response. The shaft picture came from OMB - Old Mini Bikes. They sell parts for older power equipment, mini bikes and go karts. https://www.ombwarehouse.com/outdoor-power/ The thing that looks like a large nut on the pulley isn't. It's actually part of the pulley. Tomorrow I...

    Edger blade shaft removal

I need to remove the blade shaft on my 1970's Trim-All edger to replace the bearings. Before I start to hammer on it, does anyone know the proper removal procedure? I'm not sure if it's pressed in or if it's got some rust holding it in tight.

Alemite Gas Station Work Bench Restoration

That sux. I bet somebody in the family or close to the family wanted the whole setup and was pissed because they sold you the bottom. So the family probably gave them the top to shut them up.

    Small Style

Here's my small collection of Wizard midget wrenches or what I always referred to as my "ignition wrenches" because that's what I used them on- distributors, magnetos and such.

    Is there a tool that.....

OK, I'm going to be changing out some bathroom light fixtures that have glass globes covering the bulbs. Being that I have hands like catchers mitts the chances are half way between forget it and not a chance that I'm going to be able to screw the the globe collar nuts in by hand. Is there a...

    Looking for a STRONG adhesive.

Thanks for all the responses. I'm sure at least one if not all will do the job. BTW. Here's what I have to bond. A floorboard bumper on my Heritage Classic. The bottom piece that pulls through the lower plate so I'm going to try and bond what's lefty to the plate. Beats spending $139.00 for a...

I thought about the contact cement but not sure that it would be strong enough.

    Looking for a STRONG adhesive.

What would be a super adhesive that could be used to bond rubber to metal? It would be used in a situation where the rubber is being used as protection from vibration and I would prefer that the rubber not separate from the metal. Any ideas?
