Picked this up for a buck, I kinda like the old script tools, it's 15/16" open by 5/8" offset box.
Only markings are 23 and an m in a circle (Moore Drop Forge?)
Any idea on its age?
So I was at a yard sale last weekend; guy had a bunch of rusty beat up stuff of varying makers. He said he had a ton more in his shop. I was looking for craftsman to complete the missing parts of the tools I've inherited over the years.
Told me to come back Saturday. I did and his wife blew me...
So I buy a ton of chains at auction; they often throw them into the box lots like free samples of tide. I keep them in an old craftsman box and to make grabbing the proper size, I made these little marking discs, secured on with a zip tie or whatever.
I'm trying to bring some organization to my box. Does anyone have pics of your layout and how you Tetris-ed them into the standard 22x16.5" Craftsman drawers?
Thanks!
So I have a penchant for buying old, used up stuff and bringing it back to life. This homeowner grade box was at a local scrap metal place for $10. I figured it could serve as a field box for my armorer/gunsmithing tools when I'm out on the line instructing. It was pretty roached; there was...
Picked this up at the scrap yard for $10. It's in good shape but needs a slider or two. It's way newer than my other Cmam boxes, which have the model number stamped on them. Can any of you gurus help?
Thanks!
I know, I should have gotten more pics.
This is at the auction barn. It checks out mechanically and the jaws are true.
What's a safe Max bid?
As for the rest of the stuff, unless yall see something I don't, I'm not bidding more than $5
This is my grandfathers old engine pulling block. It's made by American Chain and Cable Co. out of York, Pa. He got it shortly after he came home from the war in '46. I'm fixing to blast and repaint. What would be some good color combos? Pics for the win!
So I do most of my work alone and during the overnight hours so today I took a chainsaw to an old railroad tie and made me 4x 16" blocks. They are roughly 7x9 so I can flip them on end or stack them depending on the need. They also make handy step stools.
Yeah, I have the sickness now. Still learning what's good, so I would like some help in IDing this. All I have is this one pic and that it says USA on it. Guy is asking $20
Old wrench that's been in the family. Disassembled to clean and now it won't go back together.
The guts are held by a taper pin with a groove. No matter which way I insert the pin, it goes too far. The pin can only be inserted from one side of the wrench (opening end).
There were no extra...
Picked this stainless steel box up today for 5 bucks. This sucker is built like a brick outhouse. Weighs at least 20 pounds and is all stainless. I've googled but my google-fu isn't turning up anything. Any veterans recognize this? The only markings are what is stamped on it, Unirule Industries...
Picked this box up at a sale for five bucks. Got bored in the shop one. Ought. So I decided to attack it with the 4" wire brush. That led to a coat of Rustoleum hammered paint and some bright red for the tray. It's not a full on resto by any means but I think it looks nice.
