Was with the wife today garage sale rummaging. Most of the time I sat in the car. She called me to look at some wrenches. Couldn’t be the price 50 cents each for normal size and 10 cents for the ignition wrenches. A real wide assortment of brands. Lectrolite, Crescent, Proto, Ford, Wilde...

Picked up some Sunex angle head wrenches off Amazon the other day. Not sure of the quality yet. Guess time will tell.

Standard 1/4” bits fit.

I’ve had a Vessel ratcheting bit driver on my wish list for some time now. So a couple weeks ago I gave into the temptation and tossed down some money on one. The ratchet action is really smooth. I would highly recommend one.

Did you notice all three are now owned by the same company. Black and Decker brand tools are at the bottom of the barrel today. The corporate plan seems to be buy a name and then make it cheap, then sell it at a premium.

I hang my cheap wrench set On an A frame cart. I made the hooks to hang them on. This is the set others use if they want to work in my shop. I save my good sets for personal use. I’ve learned this lesson the hard way sev times.

Curious on the quality of the Garant tools. Also the country of origin. I have looked at their stuff for awhile, but not sure about quality.

Funny my dad called them nut busters. He always said if it grabs just let go.

Picked up some more screwdrivers from KCTool. a set of Wera, a few Witte, and a Felo.

Was in KC a few days ago and had to stop off at Harry Epstein. Picked up some screwdrivers. Most are Pratt-Read. One is Husky, one SK (love the handle), Crescent, Proto, and a couple Bonney sockets. Also found a lone Indestro socket

In the end, SK is now a Chinese brand.

After the purchase of SK the new owners sold off all remaining inventory. Blaming not having any inventory on supply issues is something of a lie. Most likely the Chinese owners wanted the name to rebrand some non USA tools.

Don’t forget Henry Ford and GM was doing business with he Nazis.

Bought some of those the other day for my youngest granddaughter. She’s 4 and loves playing in my shop.

Went to another garage sale today. They had a lot of tools. Found a tote and filled it with sockets and a few wrenches, pliers, and other stuff. The majority of the sockets are SK Wayne. Followed by Craftsman, Snap-on, make up the 3/8. The 1/2 are mainly Indestro. With a few others in the bunch...
