how do you guys store your hammers?

I built several racks that are attached to the wall. The hammers are grouped to their function and use frequency. One rack is on the cart by the welder. It’s the one for serious attitude adjustments.

In KC, had to visit Epstein’s

I’m blessed to live so close (55 miles away) from HJE. Even if you can leave without buying something, it’s a great place to see tool history. Hope you get a chance to have a longer look around.

The bits don’t push through the back. The extension has a side that’s ground so it can pass through the ratchet head. The handle has a magnetic 1/4 hex that allows you to use it with a bit or the extension. I used it today, and I’m very impressed with it.

I received a replacement under warranty a 16oz Proto deadblow ball peen today. The old one was disintegrating after 25 year of use. The new one has Stanley on it. Not bad for a free tool.

Recommendations on a mechanics stool, please.

Being the DIY type, I built my own style seat. Getting way old is not good on the knees. Picked the seat at place in town that sells seconds and overstocked goods. I did have to put a wheelie bar on the back to stabilize it.

Hit up HarborFreight yesterday. I’ve looked at tap and die sets locally and all are made in China. So I thought a cheap set would be an experiment to see if they work. The hammer doesn’t look like great quality, but for the task I have in mind it will work. The people on here say the Doyle...
