    Another estate sale find...

Thanks for the details Steve! I checked out Kennedy's site and emailed them about the possible age of the box, we'll see what they say. Anyway, looking at the catalog and what's left of the tag on the box it looks like style# 1018.

    Another estate sale find...

Steve, do you have any pics of yours? Is there a way to correctly identify it's age? Brownbagg, throw it away!!?? Are you out of your mind?? :) Got any pics of yours?

    Another estate sale find...

I tell you what, I find something I can't live without practically every weekend. The plus is the wife loves to go too. She usually 'helps' me decide if I need this kind of stuff. She's the reason I came home with my gas pump (check out my albums, everything came from estate sales). I...

    Another estate sale find...

Picked up this old Kennedy box over the weekend. I told myself that I'd reached my toolbox limit, but couldn't pass this one up. It's pretty crusty but solid, like most of the ones I drag home. Can anyone tell how old it is? I'm guessing '50s.

    WTB Schrader Tire Pressure Gauge

I have a couple, are these what you are looking for? I just snapped these pics quickly last night (sorry for the poor picture quality), so if you need more details I'll have to get it tonight. I didn't have time to clean them up. Both are Schraders.

Rolling up to a garage sale and watching a guy load a Kennedy box

I hear ya! I missed out on an old Proto bottom box today. Someone else had already bought all the tools that were in it. But I did score an old Kennedy box today for next to nothing. I'll post pics early next week. I was just saying how the old Craftsman box I picked up last weekend would be my...

    Estate sale find...

Yep, looks the same to me too. Yours is very nice, plus the added bonus of actually having tools in it! I've got an old box (w/tools) that belonged to my Grandfather but it's all no-name stuff. I'm keeping it for sentimental reasons of course, plus it's kind of neat to hold his tools and...

    Cool Finds Today

I would've grabbed 'em myself! I never intented to become a collector, but when stuff like that pops up you gotta get it!

    Estate sale find...

I was kind of surprised no one else had picked it up! It pretty well matches the Proto box I got about a month ago, as far as patina goes.

Old Craftsman top chest. Still needs to be cleaned up though. It even still has the tray, only missing the lock.

    Houston-Estate sale; tools, workbenches

Depends on what you need. There were some old comb. wrenches (sorry, I didn't check the brand), files, that kind of stuff, though I wasn't really looking for hand tools. Some that stuck out, but I didn't get were; a huge Bridgeport die cutter (at least the biggest one I've seen @ approx. 2' in...

    Houston-Estate sale; tools, workbenches

Didn't see any other "toolboxes" other than the one I bought, but they did have several small metal lock boxes that could be useful for a variety of things. I may go back tomorrow, I'm reconsidering one of the workbenches. Everything is in decent shape, but not perfect. Be prepared to dig some.

    Houston-Estate sale; tools, workbenches

Played hooky from work today and went to an estate sale I found on CL this morning (I am in no way affiliated with this sale, but you Houston guys need to check it out). They have several workbenches and cabinets as well as tools and misc. other stuff. The workbenches (I counted four) are all...

Old C-man mower (change blade height?)

I finally got around to messing with this over the weekend. I was able to raise the roller about 1" (maxed out), but I couldn't tell any difference in how it cut the grass though. It's still cuts way too short for our lawn and like Major said it doesn't mulch, just sends grass flying all over...

    Today's garage sale finds

Nice score, you did alot better than I did today. I went to an estate sale at a tiny auto upholstery shop, mostly junk though.

Oh, what an estate sale I just got back from....

Yeah, we've learned a lot too. We usually go on Saturday mornings, though my wife works half days on Friday so she'll preview some of them. Usually by Saturday and sometimes Sundays they reduce the prices by 30 to 50% or more. I've never seen vice grips in an actual box before, I'd probably...

Oh, what an estate sale I just got back from....

Man, that is sweet!! I love the old artwork on those boxes! The wife and I do estate sales practically every weekend. Some of the time I find some pretty cool stuff. Not trying to hijack your thread  but I picked up this WEN soldering gun/kit last weekend for only $2.00! I...

is this vise a good deal?

I recently bought a new Wilton Vise for a lot less than $200.00. Actually, it was less than $100.00. Ordered it thru Northern Tools, the same one is listed for $119.00 now but when I got it it seemed like it was $89.00 (can't remember). It's got the 360 degree base and head and I haven't busted...
