Did Fisher Body make tools boxes?

I'll have to check, but I don't remember seeing anyone's name on it.

Did Fisher Body make tools boxes?

I'm always amazed at what people pick up on in pictures, it is a spider. What can I say...I like to live dangerously (or carelessly)! Thanks for the input guys, there's times I wish they could talk (the box, not the spider). Focusing on that picture, I realized that someone has replaced one...

Old C-man mower (change blade height?)

I have no idea, just looking at it real quick when I unloaded it, it doesn't look like there is any adjustment but I figure there has to be!

    Air compressor drainer kits????

I've never had a problem with tape, but i know a lot of guys that prefer the liquid. It's six of one and half dozen of the other, could probably start a thread on that by itself if there isn't one already!

Did Fisher Body make tools boxes?

I bought this at an estate (auto upholstery shop) sale recently. I don't know if this is a legit 'Fisher Body' box (for in-house factory use) or if someone just stuck a Fisher tag on a generic box (I don't see any other stamping on it). Most of the Fisher tags I've seen in my life on vehicles...

    Old Proto box

Billy, that's a really cool find! Did you restore your box or leave it as is? I'm not so much concerned about the value of my box (I only paid $5.00 for it), I just don't want to ruin it by re-painting it. I just love the original patina and in this case I'm not sure how I'd restore the...

    Weekend score-old gas pump

Wasn't really looking for one, but I stumbled on this at an estate sale this weekend and couldn't pass it up. Actually, I did pass it up the first day 'cause I thought they wanted too much. My wife, knowing I was interested gave the lady her number. The next day, the lady called and they worked...

Old C-man mower (change blade height?)

Picked this up at an estate sale this weekend. I'll need to sharpen the blades, but initial tests show that this thing still cuts great, it's just a bit too low. Does anyone know if there's a way to raise the cutting height?

    Old Proto box

Picked up this old Proto box at an estate sale, it's kind of crusty but everything functions fine (may leave it as is). Any body have an idea how old this is (I'm guessing '60s or '70s)? Is there a sure fire way to tell?

    Air compressor drainer kits????

Finally took a pic of my setup. Like I said, I've never had a problem with it leaking (unless I open the valve).

Houston area-one day garage sale - TODAY!!

Just found out about this yesterday! The guy is a plumber, but has had many car projects over the years, he recently sold his property and everything has to be out by Monday (June 1st), talk about a procrastinater! I think they have this listed as a 'garage sale' on CL. I checked it out and...

    Any one hear of this...

Cool, I'll check it out. Ususally, the wife and I hit the local estate sales every Saturday. Never know what you'll find. Haven't done any auctions though...yet.

    Any one hear of this...

www.publicsurplus.com  I just stumbled on this site and I am in no way affiliated with it, but it looks like it would have many possible benefits to any one on here. Hopefully, I'm not giving away anyones big secret! Basically, it's an auction site for various government entities...

    Hard To Believe, BUT----

I was cleaning out my neighbor lady's garage and found several dead blow hammers (the orange plastic ones with lead shot in the head, don't know the brand). First two I used shattered like glass. Too many hot and cold cycles over the years, I guess. I haven't tried any of the rest, should...

My 2 car garage - pics as I progress.

Pegboard would be a great, relatively cheap investment. Looks good!

    Air compressor drainer kits????

If I remember right, I used 1/2" (i.d.) galvanized pipe, commonly found at Home Depot or anywhere plumbing supplies are sold. Your size may be different, I'm sure all tanks are not plumbed the same (could be wrong though). The 'ball valve' is brass, probably designed for natural gas. I figured...

    Air compressor drainer kits????

All those look more complicated than they need to be. All I did was plumb from the bottom of the tank (mine's an 80 gal.vertical) a 90-degree elbow and 10" or so length of pipe (to make it easy to reach) to a shut-off (ball valve) for my drain. Has worked flawlessly for years. Thanks for the...

    One Cool Garage

I was kiddin', sort of. It is nice, just too nice!! It almost looks like a display inside a museum, I'd be afraid to make a mess!

    Kennedy curbside treasure

Cool find! I've got the same box under my workbench. I've had it so long I can't remember how or where i got it. Mines green and still has all the felt. I've thought about selling it 'cause I've never really used it, but then I always think I'll find a use for one day.
