    Why do you buy tools?????

I buy tools because I enjoy owning them and using them. I spend my evenings and weekends working on old cars, trucks and motorcycles. I've raised 4 children and when they have something that needs service or worked on they bring it to me. My grandchildren are learning to do the same thing with...

Whats On Your Socket Wish List?

I'm still looking for that elusive chrome 6 point 1/4" drive X 5/8" deep socket to fill my Hanson tray. I'll never buy anymore Hanson trays they either have to many sockets in the range or not enough places for the complete socket set. The 1/4" drive sets taught me.

    Sears Tools

I have a set of Sears open end and a set of box end metric wrenches I bought in the 70's. Made in Japan. They look cheap and the open end wrenches are thin which comes in handy sometimes but diggs in your hands when used on a really tight fastener. I use these wrenches regularly and they have...

    Today's score

MAAAANNNN YEAH!!!!!!!! Nothin like a 1/2 price sale on hammers ... different hammers for different jobs are as important as different wrenches for different fasteners

Strange after midnite Sears sale, online only

Yeah I hate rebates ... takes forever to get them ... then they send you something that says you didn't qualify for it ... they're like dealing with insurance companies ... they get your money up front and then do everything they can to keep from having to give any of it back

    i wonder if you was?

I torque everything I have spec's for and the proper torque tool ... as a home mechanic I don't have access to as many spec's as you do ... but to do a job properly you should use a torque wrench ... and when I pay a professional to work on my car I expect a professional job and that includes...

    Companion tools.

back in the 70's I was broke, had a wife and 2 kids and an old honda motorcycle ... I bought a set of open end and box end Sears brand [not Craftsman] made in Japan wrenches ... no warantee ... it was all I could afford ... I've still got 'um I still use 'um and I wouldn't replace 'um ... I used...

    Northern Industrial

save your money and buy some Craftsman wrenches ... they don't break usually ... I've never broke one ... and if you do ... just take it back and get another free

    Legris Transair

As a pipefitter by trade the only advantage I see in this system is the ease of installation ... the disadvantages are the selection of fittings and cost of materials

    what you will do if?

You bought your tools to make money ... so if someone needs to use some of your tools ... make some money ... charge a rental fee ... could be a flat rate or based on percentage of the rate the tech should make on the work he is doing ... that's only fair ... he can't make that money without...

    Chrome Sockets

I don't know of any source for mid-length sockets except S-K and the tool truck. I have sockets made by S-K, Craftsman, Armstrong, Proto, Snap On, New Britan, Toptul, and Elora. To me the best value for the money is Craftsman. S-K would be the next in line as to the best value for the money...
