    Any tire experts?

275 is the width of the tyre in millimeters. The 60 is the wall height, 60% of the width. Most tyre manufacturers have all the specs for their tyres listed on their website, I know BFG do as that is what I run. Cheers Andrew

Moderator has got to be more thorough on instructions for adding location

you wouldn't want the fact to get in the way of a good story would you! If you go to the quick links tab and check "who's online" it shows who is using the app to view the forum and who isn't, 5% might be a bit closer to the truth. Don't you just hate it when people start introducing logic...

    Offset vise---never seen this before

No worries ;) Life would be just too simple if everyone used the same terminology across the globe. A bit like all these yanks talking about vises when they are vices  well they are vices here anyway. Cheers Andrew

    Offset vise---never seen this before

I am not sure that Dawn still manufacture in Australia, but they still sell them and still a premium product. The Truck is a Freightliner Argosy but it's not a road train, it's a B Triple. Road trains have a dolly connecting the trailers. Cheers Andrew

    Offset vise---never seen this before

I am pretty surprised that you have never seen an offset vise, they are extremely common this side of the pond. As to why you would want one, the question should be why would you buy a vise that isn't offset? They do everything a "standard" vise does but if you have something large or long it...

We have a couple of 5000 gallon tanks and a little 2000 gallon tank. We use rainwater for everything when it's available, we run the whole house on it. That's pretty much the norm around here. Cheers Andrew

Suggestions on running air around garage....

I have actually done exactly that, accidentally hit a PVC airline that was under full pressure, 140ish PSI. The PVC broke, that's all, no explosion, no schrapnel, it was a total non event. I am not suggesting that PVC is good bad or otherwise, just relating my experience. Cheers Andrew

    8 point sockets? What for

I use them quite often on taps, usually when cleaning threads. It allows the use of a ratchet in tight spots and the use of a cordless drill for quick clean outs. Cheers Andrew
