As PP said, they are for removing hoses. I have never had a pair before but whilst I was clicking on the buy button I thought may as well grab a set and see if they are any good :) Cheers Andrew

    Broken Studs, Broken Bolts!

Searched around and this old thread was the closest I could find. I am rebuilding a Landcruiser Ute. A problem I have encountered a number of times with the tear down is rusted bolts that have snapped despite trying my best to get them out in one piece, there is a relatively easy fix for this...

    What size angle grinders

A wire cup is one instance where I think less power is better, they are prone to grabbing and become incrementally more dangerous as the power of the grinder increases. Cheers Andrew

    What size angle grinders

I have 2 @ 5" Makita Grinders, one with a cutting disc and one a grinding disc. Also 2 x 4.5" Hitachi grinders, one with a flap disc and one with a wire wheel. That combination works well for me. I would get a 7" if doing heavy work but no bigger, 9" grinders scare the living day lights out of...

anyone sharpen their drill bits anymore?

I have been sharpening them on a bench grinder for 30 years, it took a lot of practice years ago to get good at it, but it's second nature nowadays. Cheers Andrew

    Tap holder / T-handle?

Yes the second one is smaller. Used with smaller taps, in tight spaces, or for just cleaning out a thread. I was using one for cleaning out m8 threads in a chassis rail in a tight spot last weekend. Cheers Andrew

How to REMOVE welds and finish the surface?

A grinder and flap disc would be great, but if you want cheap then a hand file and some emery paper will do the job. Cheers Andrew

I hate my dirt floor 30x40... Proper floor needed!

I poured the slab in my 60x30 in 12 separate pours, but I mixed all the cement by hand. That was 1998, so I was younger, fitter and dumber back then. It was a huge job but saved me a lot of $$. Cheers Andrew

    Bahco, Whats the real story??

One of the hardest parts of understanding this forum is working out what the hell all these yanks are talking about most of the time, it would be so much easier if they used the correct words like shifter and spanner :D On the Subject of Bahco, I have a bit of their gear, a full set of Shifters...

Any way to determine metric or english bolt?

When you say English bolt I guess you mean Whitworth. Whitworth threads are almost identical to SAE, one has a 55 degree pitch and the other 60 degree, I forget which one is which though. The only size that is different is 1/2", WW is 12 TPI and SAE is 13 TPI. Otherwise they are near enough as...

    Is it time???

I agree, you don't see them if you are not logged in, but that makes it harder to follow threads you are interested in. In addition, stop posts in free parking from adding to peoples post count, yeah I know post count means nothing, but most people look at it! Just my 2 cents from a Lurker...

Help, How does one make Holes

When I have used this technique I either bore the bush a few thou oversize. Or the pin a few under and then cut up a coke can and wrap that around the pin to hold it snug in the bush. Fully weld it, then knock the pin out, the can will fall to pieces allowing it to come out. The bushes won't be...
