Recommend me a hex/torx socket set

I find the proto's too long and too thick for most places. I have used my cheap Westward set 10 times more than my proto set for the reason above.

    Mac tools in trouble?

That wrench looks exactly like my asd full polish proto wrench ;) cept mine doesn't say knucklesaver on it :) I might add that it would be foolish to buy snap on for something you only used once a month or once every few month, assuming you make a regular joe's wage. This is when you test out...

    Craftsman sockets; or better

Buy cheap what you use rarely and buy expensive what you use very commonly. If your only using your 1/4 once a week id go craftsman for example.

New hex socket makes me a sad panda

No but the simple matter is i paid new price for a new socket that happens to be mislabeled. I mean if i had got a good discount or was warned in the ebay notes, then maybe i would have or not purchased this item set.

What socket set should I get ?

What you can afford is most important and spend the extra penny on the stuff you use often....me for example use my 1/2 very often so i spent more money on a full shallow/deep proto set. But hardly using my 3/8 set i just bought a cheap craftsman drive module set.

    Channel lock brand

i might add...the pliers will outlast their handles or in the case of my side cutters anyways. They still cut like i bought them 3 years ago, cept one handle coating is slowly deteriorating and the other handle coating was ripped when they fell out of my pocket and went through a unscrambler...

Hate to bring up impact sockets again but

I am really torn ....between grey pneumatic and proto....the thing bothering me is i can spend the extra coin and get a 19 piece shallow proto set or i can get a GP 19 piece shallow set and 13 piece deep set for the same cost as the proto shallow set. So my question is, Does quality make a...

    Opinions on this cordless sawzall.

Online research has milwaukee as the runaway winner. But I work in a planer mill and all 3 shifts have a cordless 20v or 18v dewalt saw. They have held up perfectly fine and done their job as intended......mind you we only use them for cutting wood :)
