    Truck hitch

Looks good. I build 2 tandem freight liner plow trucks at the county shop I work for. The welding/fabricating is most enjoyable to me.

Building a hunting blind from IBC tote

I’m building this hunting blind from two old IBC totes. I have cut in some windows and an opening for a door. I’m looking for creative ideas on how to frame out the windows and door. I’d prefer not to use any wood for this build and to not spend a lot of money on materials. So far, I’m...

    Hobart IronMan 230 vs. 240

Yeah that’s a good way to look at it. Just didn’t know if the 240 was a big improvement over the 230.

    Hobart IronMan 230 vs. 240

I recently picked up a brand new Hobart IronMan 230 MiG welder. I also purchased the spool gun attachment and the protective cover. All of the items were “clearance” priced, and I got a really good deal. I was just wondering if it’s worth trying to sell this welder and make a little money on...

    Snap-On KRL2055 for service truck?

I really could use a small road chest for service calls at work. I don’t go on the road on a regular basis, but when I do, I’m cramming all of my stuff in the side cabinet of the service truck. I may throw my hand tools in a 5 gal. bucket, and it’s just a bad setup. My ideal box, would be a...

Snap-On KRA60B Heavy Duty Road Chest?

Hey thanks for your input. I think the 60 would probably work well for me too.

Snap-On KRA60B Heavy Duty Road Chest?

That’s a nice looking box. Are you saying that the KRA60 isn’t heavy duty enough? I’m afraid that the 62 May be to big.

Trade two roll cabs in on one new Snap-On?

Well, that sounds like a poor expiriance with your schools boxes. I know when I spend thousands of dollars on something new, I will certainly give it a thorough inspection upon delivery. If there's any question about quality control issues, it will have to be rectified before purchase of that...

Trade two roll cabs in on one new Snap-On?

My KRL Snap-On seems like a well built unit and is only four years old. I'm considering a new Snap-On EPIQ series box. If you have opinions on those I'd like to hear them.

Trade two roll cabs in on one new Snap-On?

Recently I upgraded my ten year old Matco 4S triple bay with a four year old Snap-On KRL 1022 I bought off of Craigslist. It's a really nice box that is in immaculate condition. After transferring all of my tools, I don't know if it's really my dream setup. I'm considering finding a Snap-On...

    Let's see your toolbox.

Awesome setup! I like how you have it organized. I'd really like to upgrade to a Snap-On KRL box. The Peterbilt creeper is cool too.

    Building a compact welding stand.

Well, I recently got myself setup with a Lincoln AC225 stick welder at home. I use about half of my two car garage as my shop. I would like to have some type of small welding stand to use as a welding table for small projects. I don't have a lot of room to house a decent sized table. I was...

    Allen socket sets

So I have recently been building a tool set to use at home. I have been purchasing Allen brand socket sets and wrench sets from my local Mills Fleet and Farm, and Masterforce sockets and wrenches from a Menards. Allen brand and Masterforce seem to be identical sockets and wrenches with...

    Drawer for my workbench?

I am building a small workbench for my garage. I'd like to install a drawer under the bench top to keep supplies in it. Where could I get a drawer made to be installed on a workbench? Ideal width would be like 36".

    Matco Taiwan sockets...won't buy them!!!

You're right, this is not the seventies and many things have changed. However, sockets, wrenches, ratchets, and most all others hand tools haven't changed in design, just quality. Manufacturing products in China or India is innovative for higher profits...that's it.
